    I am the one with the non-scooped and live 10 minutes from the Sport guy. The guy will not reply to my emails. Been trying to get in touch with him every day since he posted. I created a CL post in hopes he would reach out to me since he doesn't reply to my emails and still not having any luck. Anyone else have suggestions how to get in touch with scooped hood guy?

    I usually put something like "This is not spam, I am a local (insert city) resident and am near (insert local landmark). I'm willing to meet and feel free to email, call or text me at...

    By doing this, they know it's not just a bot or some BS scam email. I also see the ad is 14 days old, so it may be that it's gone and he just hasn't taken it down. In which case, he's really just ignoring what he sees as someone who doesn't have a clue. In that case, you may preface your willing to meet statement with something like, "Since the listing is still up, I will assume the hood is still available." That way it is giving him a clue it may be his fault.

    I have tried that method with no luck either as I know the CL format tends to send to peoples junk/spam folders. Used my personal email, my work email, and my wife's email to see if sometime else would work. Left him detailed messages with my contact info and still nothing. I have contacted him every day since posting and check the ad a couple times a day in hopes he would put a phone number as he continues to update the ad and ensured its renewed. I am going to remain persistent though and hope that something finally works.

    Sounds like you're doing everything you can. Hope it eventually works out for you. I had a CL seller contact me nearly a month after my contact wanting to know if I was still interested as he had forgotten he posted, so it does happen.

    I had one lined up. Then the guy backed out saying “there is too much back and forth.” Uh yeah I think there needs to be communication if you’re gonna swap a hood.
