I might be trading in my Silverado for a Tacoma in the near future, and I had some questions about lifting the Tacoma. I was wondering Where yall would suggest to get the lift done at. I've heard good things about Planet Pickup, what about 4 wheel parts? And I was also wondering if somebody knew what a descent price was to get everything installed. I would probably be going with a 6" procomp stage 1, 35's, 17's.

If I do get the Tacoma, I look forward to going to one of yalls meets at Big Shell. ;)

    Thanks! :D

Planet pickup is great, I've done some business with them and if they can't help you, they will refer you to someone with business standards as high as theirs.

4Wheel Parts, from what I hear, is not somewhere you'd want to do business if you can help it.

Really? i've heard some decent stuff about them on broadway.

Either way If you need dealership stuff, go to Cavender Toyota on 410 and talk to Cory.

It's a hit or miss on whether they have knowledgeable guys or not. I had a guy in 4wheelparts tell the me the difference between OME and Fox shocks was just the color, and I should pick my favorite color....Yeah after that, I walked out of the store and I'm glad I did.

I only use 4wheelparts when I need towstraps, shackles, etc...Plus if you order you're rims from them, you get free shipping to the store, so that saves you a 100$ or so...

Take your business to Anthony at planet pickup. Its a win win situation. You WILL get better service than and more knowledgeable techs than you will at 4WP off Broadway, and you are also helping out the little guy at the same time. Anthony is a great guy, and runs a good show.

Just to price check, I asked the counter guy how much for ToyTec C/Os and he had never heard of ToyTec. To be fair, another time I called for an alignment and they wanted $150 and a 2 week wait to get an alignment. WTF??

As for Hi-lift jack, shackles, straps, etc. check out Tractor Supply at 281/46. Same equipment just tons cheaper too. It makes sense that they use the same stuff. :D

We used to go to a few different places down on the coast, we haven't taken them out in a while though. We've mostly been fishing the surf and taking the boat out. But we plan on going out to Yarborough Pass (sp?). It's a cut in the dunes about 15 miles down the beach at PINS.

You don't have to tear up your truck, from what I hear it is a pretty freindly place to just ride around & watch.
