Over the past couple weeks. Pro Comp Coil Overs with Bilstein's all around. Method NV 17's with Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70R17. ( Love the look of these wheels except for the water collecting valley around the outer edge of the rim ). Added blacked out badging and aftermarket TRD front grille.

Exercised her shocks and new wheels last weekend at the 2018 GRJOffroad Ride Along. For a while we were the only non-Jeep on the trails until a Fox Racing Tacoma showed up. That thing is what my truck wants to be when it grows up. Being a good parent I'll never tell her it's not going to happen.

Picked up a gray CVT Mt. Shasta Stargazer Extended RTT yesterday and waiting on an ordered Leer cap which should be here in the next 2 weeks. The Tent will sit on the Thule rack on top of the cap. 5 weeks and counting to prepare for my 9 yr old daughter and I to start our ATL to Grand Canyon trek. We're going it alone, leaving the rest of the family home, and mapping destinations if anyone wants to drop me some suggestions. This is the first time I've attempted anything like this. Had to start saying it out loud to everyone, including TocomaWorld now, to make sure I don't back out. My daughter is stoked, mostly just the idea that she will be stopping in TX LOL. 4,000 miles round trip and endless memories, hopefully mostly good.

Thanks! I know this is more of a question for the led conversion thread but anyone feel these are a better choice over the super nova v3 or the GTR’srecommended on the headlight revolution site (other than cost)? I’m feeling the fan set up on the hikari’s may be a source of problems down the road. So far my thoughts are leading me to sneak the GTR’s hopefully into the low beams with possibly just loosening the top bolts on the headlight and then using them as well and the highbeams. Also I believe you don’t have to take them apart and index them like you would have to do with the hikari’s, though I also realize that video is also somewhat dated on this headlight revolution site

I agree with you about the water collecting valley on the wheels. Drives me nuts! #firstworldproblems

Here in Connecticut replacement glass coverage is standard in your insurance. Specially with our stellar road system and coming out of the winter roads are trashed. Break it as many times as you need to they’ll replace it. l recommend having a glass coverage even if you have to pay for it upfront not very expensive and you don’t have to worry

I also have issue with water collecting in the valleys of the wheels. Also balance issues with snow/ice accumulating throwing the balance off. I absolutely love the Ray 10’s just worried about corrosion and such accumulating developing down in the crack. I just ordered of myself up a set of FN – FX pro wheels BFG BRO’s for my PRO

Toytec suspension with coil overs in front add a leafs in back, ARB bumper replacement, Warne M8 winch, sliding bed cover, Cabela's custom seat covers, 265/75/16 GoodYear Duratracks,
I started with a toytec lift and 265/70/16 Goodyear duratrack tires. I then added a ARB bumper with a warn m-8 winch. The roll top bed cover was next. I had to cover the cat skin leathe seats. I used cabellas tactical seat covers.

I'm thinking of getting a roof basket. As a hunting and fishing guide this is the best toy I've owned. It is bad ass off road.

I just had the ecu re-flashed. It made a huge difference.

FYI indexing the Hikari only applies to the passenger side high beam. It took me less than 5 minutes to do that. The only disassembly is removing 2 phillips screws on the collar, slide off the collar, drill one (or 2) holes in the plastic collar, and re-install the screw(s). As simple as it gets. Only really need 1 screw to lock the orientation.

Could’ve been a lot worse. At least everyone will be able to live to tell about it around the campfire.
