There are a few really good places around here. I need to find a real taco place though. Friends send me videos of them cutting the meat right off the rotisserie thing haha

 

sounds like a Brazilian BBQ place I went to in Tysons a few years ago. All you can eat, but $70/per person. If you ate a few filet mignons, it was worth it

 

I'm spoiled. I get authentic tacos at home. Corn tortilla is for tacos.

I was going to say it sounds like the big spits at Greek restaurants that they carve the gyro meat from.

 

I had that a few months ago. My boss took me and someone else to lunch at one of those a few months ago...it was amazing, almost passed out after haha

Jealous... I’ll cook up some almost authentic tacos on occasion but I’m pretty lazy about cooking in general haha

Yeah that’s basically it. I looked it up, tacos al pastor but they cut it off the skewer thing right in front of you. Looks so good

 

Al pastor is good stuff. Back in NM, I would go for the lengua at authentic mexican taco places if they had it. There was a place in town where I lived that had it occasionally. They were only open a year or two though.
