$100 weber. 10yr bowl and lid warranty. Great customer service. If it’s damage, they’ll take care of it. Or just have academy exchange it. Wasn’t worried one bit. My only worry was finding a space for it hahahah

Yep ordered and thank you both! Wait where am I going to put the SOB? Who cares, the old OTG is going back to the fire pit area

Anyone tried the Costco rib rub? I was going to pick up some paprika there to make my own no sugar rub but they didn't have any. Then saw the Costco rub with zero carbs.

A little late to ask, and will be adding carbs before the day is over but like the no sugar idea however not sure how that will work with the bark on the pork belly burnt ends and ribs.

Broke 50 degrees for the first time in 6 months. Damn right I'm celebrating.

I’m very tempted to get one of those red Webers but I have literally no use for it. Still though...

EDIT: Sold out. Good thing too, because I probably would have gone for it.

I love it even more, now!

Had some chicken rubbed with Meat Massage tonight. I'm teaching the Danes to come around to fine American BBQ :D.

Stupid jet lag won't go away. I was pooped at 7 pm and now it is 1 am and I'm wide awake looking at everyone's meat .

Sucks getting sick on the weekends, hope you feel better soon.

Costco rub was spicy, and did work well. It is listed as rib rub but honestly thought it went better with the pork belly burnt ends. But it was all good. Sons wanted falling off the bone and sauced and that is what they got this time. Have to admit it was pretty damn good.

Yes it does. Was supposed to make pulled pork for a mod day today, and had to cancel that. Feel bad I couldn’t make it to that, as it was scheduled for a few weeks.

    Food looks awesome!

    Lump Coal Question:
Why no love Cowboy Brand? Is Royal Oak good or crap? I don't have many other options up here because Puritan Laws prohibit smiles.

So I either switch to KBB, etc or ind a lump I like and run with it. I really am not sure why Cowboy is rated crap.

    kthxbye

Tried the Ultimate smoked ham recipe from AmazingRibs, The results were great and as a bonus the skin was just like crispy pork belly.

Try what is available to you, and test them all. Everyone’s opinions vary. You may have different results than others.

I tried several lump and bricks. Settled on KBB since it’s cheap, readily available, and performs well for me.

It’s all trail and error, and the errors are generally still edible.

Double smoked hams are so easy, and very delicious. I’ll never do a ham in the oven again.

Didn't know Cowboy was rated crap but I personally like Royal Oak better. I think you should see which you like better. With a 22" WSM your going to go through some coals no matter what you use.. I use Royal Oak for wings with the vortex and cooking steaks directly on coals. But during the holiday sales at Home Depot and Lowes I can get a metric shit ton load more fuel with Kingsford briquettes for the cost. There is no taste difference to me, but some complain that there is more ash in it than lump. For the price difference and how much I go through I can carry the extra ash to the bank and throw it overboard easy enough.
