Dang! Huntsville folks sure do like their $1,000+ kayaks. So much so they are all for sale. Nothing up that way as I’m sure you already know. Shoot those other guys a price and meet them half way.

I know man! It’s all 1000+ shit! It’s all these dang engineers and high paid individuals that have money to blow, try something, and set it down.

And unlike it should be they think their used shit is worth retail.

Ive got an Old Town Vapor and its a great kayak for the money. I found that it works best in creeks and smaller bodies of water. The only problem I had with it was lack of storage space. Ive been using a 10' Perception Pescador Pro for about a year now and love it. I mainly just fish out of mine but with me my tackle, six rods, a small cooler, and a little bit of gear it still floats great and im 6'2" 200lbs. Ive heard that the Ascend kayaks are worth the money also. But if you decide to save the money and go with the Old Town you'll be happy. Those things are light as a feather. Besides, after a few beers you wont know the difference.

I appreciate the input man! I think this will be a good starter kayak and I can upgrade in a year or two if I get real hard into it. I will mostly be fishing creeks and small lakes. I’ll see how she does on smith lake this summer as well

No problem. Worst case, throw it on Craigslist and slap a $1000 price tag on it.

Lol. I’m not even going to deny I don’t have the balls to wheel my truck there yet. And it seems to get tougher every year. The trail to get to the trail is a bitch on its own
