What was the DA (corrected elevation ) and Relative Density during the dyno pull ??? . even though the elevation for example 2500' Corrected elevation could actually be 1500 -2500 ft higher . a change of less than 5% in humidity , Dew point or barometric pressure can skew dyno results !!

Drag Racers such as myself chase the DA corrected elevation constantly to get the most hp at the track for changing weather conditions

Not really since that is just one "prototype" from a brand nobody has heard of , AND the fact that there are other videos of CAI's making power on our truck that was posted in a early comment. The challenge continues lol!

can you post up a video that verifies a CAI makes more power on any Tacoma? no just the butt dyno or it feels better shifting now, but real Dyno testing numbers and comparisons.

Coming from the same guy who threw hids in a halogen based reflector in another video and thought it was a good idea. Ill be honest, i havent watched a single video of his since i seen the hid one...that includes this video you posted... it may be a good one, i dunno.

The way I see it, an air filter’s primary job is to protect your engine against dirt and other stuff from being sucked into your cylinders. So that being said I personally would select a filter that provided the best protection. Especially for an off road vehicle. I definitely wouldn’t put on a “wet” filter like the K&N which attracts dirt like a magnet.
I’m just not sure if the negligible power gains are worth the loss in protection. Especially since an exhaust system would gain you more power and sound way cooler than an intake would.

The beauty of breathing mods working in conjunction with a proper tune
    Obviously not a Taco

    Before it had
CAI, test pipes (Cat deletes ), was custom tune for 93 already

    After
Intake Manifold, throttle body, CAI (larger diameter and element for new throttle), LT headers and custom tune for 93

For me a CAI alone is good for engine sound.

Simple you add a K&N Dry Charger Pre filter sock over your K&N filter . I've run these on my K&N Filters for years with no issues whatsoever . These Pre Filters work very well in filtering down particulates and and are waterproof

Now before you go saying these socks lessen airflow , no they don't !! , and yes they're definitely waterproof !!!

Ive been running a Outerwears https://www.outerwears.com filter sock pre filter on my K&N FIPK and just recently swapped over to a K&N Dry Charger

these pics below are of my K&N filter that has 5k miles on it . I live up in the High Desert were a lot of sand & dust is constantly in the air . As you can see the filter is very clean inside & outside and the chrome cap on the outside is the only area you see dirt build up

Someone with a Dyno could make a killing creating a independent website that tests all popular products. I'm surprised nobody has done this yet.

I just had a trigger job done for a not very common rifle i have by a guy that does the work out of his house. I found multiple trigger weight pull tests and reviews for his work prior to purchasing the service. I'd venture to estimate that CAIs for a 3rd gen Tacoma sell at the very least a thousand fold more than that weird trigger job i had done. Why the fuck is there no independent testing for this stuff?

I've seen plenty of evidence stating that K&N filters let in too much dirt.
IMO, they're just like Fram... great marketing but only an ok product.

Because I trust using their products , I even use their oil filter and a 14x6 air filter on my $10k drag race motor

I've been using K&N Filters since the early 80's

Watch again how K&N filters work on carburated motor !! , yep a K&N filter made 5hp more than a baseline run w/out a filter
