According to the article, "The top-ranked Toyota Tacoma is more than twice as likely than the average vehicle to reach 200,000 miles, which justifies its long history of strong reliability ratings."

Rank Model % of Vehicles Over 200k Miles
    1 Toyota Tacoma 2.6%
    2 Honda Ridgeline 2.2%
    2 Toyota Tundra 2.2%
    4 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2.1%
    5 Ford F-150 1.9%
    6 GMC Sierra 1500 1.8%
    7 Nissan Titan 1.7%
    8 Chevrolet Colorado 1.5%
    Average for All Models 1.2%

    Methodology

"iSeeCars.com analyzed over 13.5 million used cars sold in 2017 from model years 1981 through 2017. Models that were not in production as of the 2017 model year, heavy duty-vehicles, and models with fewer than 10,000 cars sold were excluded from further analysis. For each model, the percentage of the number of cars with at least 200,000 miles was calculated."

Well seeing as they are pulling their data from used cars sold maybe people aren't selling their Frontiers and this is a list of vehicles that people do not want with high mileage.

Vehicles have come a long way since 1981. I'd have no doubt any of the trucks (new) listed above will reach 200k without much trouble. Including the ghastly Titan.

I see the Colorado is on the list too, that has to mostly apply to the 1st Gen as the current one has not been out long enough, if that funky 5 Cylinder Engine makes 200k then anything can.

I probably wouldn’t have used this link as an example seeing how it also states that the top 5 out of the top seven are American.
Besides I agree with ”Rotekk” that if this off the used car data that’s not accurate because if the vehicle exceeds 200k without trouble most people don’t sell they ol’ reliable, they keep it and get a new one also. There are a shit ton of Tacoma’s on the road , from 80’s to now. Toyota wouldn’t be in the top 10 richest company in the world if they sold average vehicles.

Toyota is worth $254 BILLION for that reason
