Gotta say I love the mirrors on the Ford. They're a nice size and the convex piece is great.

The regular mirrors, or the tow mirrors?

Regular ones. They're definitely nicer than the GM full size standard mirrors.

Yeah, for a base mirror they are pretty nice. The convex was handy for covering that blind spot. I wish they'd made it heated, though. Kind of funny that one spot wouldn't defrost on a cold morning.
But, not my problem now, lol.

It is funny how some people just have shit luck with one brand while the next person can run that brand for years without any issues. Personal experiences are hard to overcome with sales.
I liked the stock mirrors, they were nice. Crap for towing, but nice otherwise.
I love Ford's towing mirrors. I had aftermarket ones on the F150 and they were pretty good but the factory F250 mirrors are awesome! The convex part of the factory and aftermarket mirror is also not heated so sort of sucks when they ice up. I have never towed in the winter so it hasn't been an issue, but you're right, silliness.

I actually don't know if the convex on mine is heated or not. Haven't had any frost/fog on them yet in the AM to test it. Wouldn't surprise me if they weren't, though. Because that'd be my life

Good to know gracias. Did all the rocks wash down the hill for the climb section off to the right at the top of the pit too?

For those that are turkey hunters -- are you using blinds when hunting or are you typically mobile? I have hunted the past few seasons without luck and I am trying to figure out the issues. We do hunt a heavily pressured area, can get birds to call back and forth for a while but something holds them up. Using primarily mouth calls and occasionally a box call. Also tried using decoys a few times. Any help/tips appreciated.

Where do you work? I had a friend who worked for Avery Denison and had turkeys get stuck in the revolving door in the Framingham area haha

I don't use a blind but generally I don't move once I've found a spot with some good lanes, unless I hear one behind me, in which case I'll turn around before they come into view.

If they're hanging up, is there a road, stream, etc between them and you? Getting them to cross an obstacle like that is almost impossible, it seems like. I've only had one come across a stream once, and he was a young bird.

That is the most frustrating part, I see them non-stop and they're only acting smart when you're hunting for them!

We typically hunt a large field so we have set up on the edge of the field, just in the woods outside of the field, etc with no differences. No streams near and we have crossed the rock wall that is nearby so they aren't near the wall. I have heard they don't like to go uphill during the day? Any idea if there is truth to that?

First time poster in this thread. Got the truck out on my day off to finally do some sort of offroading. Found an old gravel road and some rocks on the side of the road to try out. I've noticed that though the ride may be a little rough on the TRD Sport, it's a perfectly capable off road truck. I have no doubts it'll get me anywhere I need to go. Got some good flex out of the stock suspension and out a nice scar in my stock skid plate. On a more serious note, what should I do about the scrape? I just FF. Should I wipe off and repaint or just spray more fluid film to keep it from rusting?
