A little early to say that about the ranger considering it hasn't even been released yet, don't you think? My father's 04 with 130k is still going strong with only oil changes as maintenance. Well that and brakes at 120k lol.

Similar to the Tacoma; some interior differences, different grill from other trims, stamped aluminum skid, the awesome wheels everyone likes to put on the Tacoma’s, special TRD bilstein suspension, shift knob, standard goodies like crawl, mts and rear locker and a-trac. No moonroof (yes!). Blacked out badging and end caps on roof rack. Oh, and comes standard with nitto terra grappler tires, which are great in everything except mud.

Oh, how could I forget! Heated seats!!

A little early for what? To prove it's reliabilty or resale? Those things never change. Looks?? Plenty of picks & videos out there

if you ike the jbl system I think it is gonna be standard on the pro models in 2019,it will be on the 4runner for sure so I imagine the taco will have it too.

To prove the real world reliability of a truck that hasn't been released to the US market yet. I realize it has been still in production in other countries, but do they even know how it will be equipped yet? I haven't looked lately.

I don’t think you’re going to be paying well under sticker price for a TRDOR.

A better engine (4.0 Dual VVTI) and trans combo. Built in Japan. The interior is little outdated though.

Just trying to make the point that the price between the 2 are not gonna be close.

The interior tech is a little dated, but power, heated seats are nice. Sure the head unit is less modern, but less stuff to tear up in it too. And yes, designed and built 100% in Japan.

What? The aftermarket for Ford and Chevy is just as strong as any other manufacturer. There are plenty of aftermarket vendors. Now, considering the updated Ranger hasn’t been released in the states, the aftermarket won’t be vast.

Only thing the interior of the 4runner doesn’t have that my TRDOR has is power seats.

I have moonroof, heated seats, JBL audio, larger entune screen, heated side mirrors.

But yeah I’d take the quality of the 4runner any day!

Runner has heated windshield wiper deicer strip. No jbl, ehhh, no biggie to me. Glad to not have moonroof though, not a fan, but the back glass goes all the way down into the hatch, so some serious air movement can get going down the highway! There’s definitely some give and take in interior niceties!

There are literally special colors that you can only get on the PRO. And production while not numbered is way more limited means it will be worth more. That said I purchased an offroad because the PRO didn't come with a sunroof or JBL which I wanted and I got a great deal on mine

In Soviet Canada, Almost all Tacoma come with heated seats!

    (Except the SR5)

Well this changes things a little. If I am buying new I want exactly what I want. Building a Pro online shows no special packages and I must have just assumed it came with all the top of the line.

No moonroof in Virginia... Not sure how I feel about that.

Someone should have told 90% of OR buyers/owners this.
And a Razor scooter would be better than those non-Tacoma vehicles.

It’s not exclusive to the Tacoma. Calvary blue was on the FJ. Cement is now on the 18.
