I run that set up on my ‘16 DCSB and it’s been fine! Gotta be somewhat conscious of it when walking past if the tailgate is closed but I’ve had no issues really.. Here’s a few pictures:

Edit: rack pictured is the RCI shortbed rack. I’ve got the tent off the rack currently (for winter) and have since moved the rack backwards toward tailgate another 1-2” since it wasn’t as far back as it could be when installed.

Opened it up at work to see what it looks like on the truck, and I still love the gray on the white truck. We even slept in it in the backyard this weekend to give it a test run before our Southern Utah trip this weekend! Wife approves!

I miss it too, all the time! I sure miss the dry storage I had back there. But I already love the comfort of the RTT, and I really like the bed rack.

My wife loves our RTT. She's much more psyched to camping since we got it.

I didn't mind sleeping in the softtopper at all! But the wife just wasn't super comfortable in it. And she enjoyed the crap out of our first night in it haha. We'll see how it goes this weekend when we spend 4 nights in it!

So looking for some pics of how to attach a tent to a prinsu rack. Really just wondering if the bolts are too long and will be to close or hit the roof. I Well be mounting over The cab. I don't trust my shell. The tent I have on its way is the smittybilt overlander.

Does anybody have ARB awning attached to their roof rack instead of an annex on their RTT?
Looking at different sizes from ARB but I’m not sure if the 8x8 (2.5) will fit on the Prinsu efficiently. Might go with 6x8 (2.0) instead.
Suggestions on an enclosure? I can’t use TEPUI annex unless I purchase a taller bed rack. Don’t want to duck every time I’m under canopy.

No problem at all! We’ve been really happy with the setup, the extra room in the Rainier extended is great!

You need to take a couple of the bars off the rack and mount them to the tent first. Make sure you have it marked correctly. Then put the tent back up there and screw the bolts back into the rack.
You may have to get shorter bolts for your tent depending on the length they come with. If you have any other questions you can contact me direct at 541-419-2790 and I can help .

What's my lead time going to be right now, on a Mt Ranier, to Indiana. Also, that on will fit a DCSB, right? It's going to be mounted on a Allpro pack rack. If I'm right, that should have about 1' overhang. Thanks for any help.

Has anyone used their roof top tent like this one on the back with a topper and able to use the annex as a room and keep your tailgate down and the bed as a sleeping area also.

Dunno if anyone else has been looking for bedding for their RTT, but I always found the mattress cover in the Kukenam to be uncomfortable. I was, however, more comfortable with the mattress cover than paying over 100 bucks for "custom" sheets from tepui.

Recently I got new bed sheets from bed bath and beyond.

    https://m.bedbathandbeyond.com/m/pr.../220475?categoryId=12019+4294966331+500511463

I got a queen and the material stretchy enough to cover the mattress comfortably without pulling the mattress up in the corners.

At $70 bucks plus the frequent coupons I recieve in the mail/find online. These were, practically a steal. And comfy as all get out!
