3rd Gen Exhaust

Would the size of the exhaust tip make a difference in performance or sound with a aftermarket muffler(Magnaflow)?

 

on stock, barely if at all sound difference. no performance gains.

 

Am I the only person that thinks the stock exhaust sounds pretty decent? You can hear it growl when you get into it but nice and quiet when you are cruising.

 

It will if you put whistle tips in it.

 

Yeah my Duratracs make way more noise than the stock exhaust when cruising on the highway lol

best part of that yt classic clip is when they peel out in their 80s supra almost hit a parked car on the other side of the road and blow through a stop sign

I think the stock exhaust sounds fine too.

 

The 4 banger exhaust sounds like a Prius.

 

In the good ol’ days, back before Oakland became gentrified

 

Exhaust tip is only for looks, does not impact sound at all.

 

Wifey's been complaining because my truck is too quiet. LOL!

 

The size of an exhaust tip will not affect performance. Tone may be slightly increased, but the small difference will not be noticeable to the ear.
