The Q Erector is on sale for $475 and you get a half price tax stamp at Silencer Shop until the 15th or 16th. Add in a Trash Panda and get 2 free tax stamps.

I had to order the Erector, it's 2.6 oz in the longest configuration

Damn that's tempting, but alas I have other responsibilities and another AR lower to SBR before I get another suppressor.

Then before I left I started my SBR as well. Waiting for the silencers to come in then I’ll go to my trust and fingerprints, then hopefully wait 8 months at the latest. Here’s to wishful thinking

Stamp came in for my Galil Ace, it's at the gunsmith now getting engraved and having the old style trigger guard and mag release riveted on. Can't wait to get this back!

Recce 5 vs m4SDK (both Griffin) for a compact 556 can?
To be used on a SBR (11.5), I want either an A2 mount or the Griffin taper mount.
What other cans are compact, effective and not 1200 before tax?
I know the recce isn’t as compact as the m4SDK but is it worth the trade off in size for the taper mount?
I’d like to stay compact but my use (personally owned patrol rifle) the fractions of an inch don’t matter as much, we don’t have racks to put them in, they ride in the passenger seat or trunk.

Arms Unlimited has some really good prices on Surefire cans right now if you have any interest in those..
Under $700 for some 5.56 models.
If you want super cheap, Hansohn Brothers has YHM Turbos on sale too. Like under $400 cheap.

Hmmm, I thought the Turbo was a direct thread, I may have been thinking of the spartan from Griffin. It's very budget friendly for an "abusable" can, I'll check out the surefire cans as well.

I freaking love HB, Ray is a great guy, I transferred my Optimus through him before I moved, his shop is an epic surprise, my dad was blown away (figuratively) when we walked in.

Hmm, I like the sound of that, I also like the idea of .30 cal for my 12.5" 6.8 and .308.

I don't have any "ins" with them, none of the emails I have changed with them are to anything other than generic addresses.

Yea I don't think I am getting anything back from them for two weeks. This is what they told me on Facebook after I was talking to them and they went silent yesterday

Were headed to nra show and customer service reps are attending the show. Send an email to customer service and they will look into it middle of next week.

I kinda figured this shit would happen. Next time I'm buying from Rugged or Dead Air

I think the Turbo mounts on the standard YHM mounts, I have no personal experience with them though.
I do have 2 Surefire cans, and am real happy with those. Definitely hard use cans, although sometimes a little on the expensive side.
Less blowback than a lot of others and a repeatable mounting system. I guess they are slightly louder than some competitors but that's not a deal breaker for me on centerfire stuff since I'm wearing ear pro no matter what.

Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone who has problems cleaning their aluminum silencer cores/baffles. I've been smearing dielectric silicone grease on my baffles pretty heavily and the crud just wipes off after shooting.

It doesn't smoke or stink like wax based coatings(bore butter) either. Permatex dielectric grease is $5 on Amazon.

So anyone have experience with Sig's Romeo 5 XDR? Just ordered it from Heart of Texas Armory for an awesome price way below what optics planet, midway, etc is even asking after a heafty discount from $299 msrp. If you send a message to the email on te contact us page, hell hook you up with a code for use on buying the xdr, it substantial, say, GB range. Got it for my SBR cause I'm getting used to the magpul gen 2's and need something new to co-witness with.
