We are tying the knot in August. We got her a 4th gen not to long ago and all the truck spending money has been going to her rig. She loves the lifted Toyota’s and has all kinds of stuff she wants to do to it. I’m trying to get her more into the actual wrenching part of it though so I have more help then just my dog dropping her ball on my face while I’m under the truck haha. I would keep the wedding as simple as possible if I were you. Spend the bigger bucks on the honeymoon and enjoy yourselves.

We met via okcupid, was my first shot at online dating and I really recommend it If you haven't tried it...the stigma is pretty much gone and it's a good way to meet someone great that you otherwise probably would've never run into.

Anyway make sure she likes the outdoors, and isn't just saying that...generally outdoorsy people get interested in offroading because of how involved it is with nature and all that. She had never thought of it before but looks forward to our trips now.

Thanks man. Luckily we both another year in school so another year to year and a half of buying truck parts. She is saving already for a wedding and I'm half tempted to have the damn wedding in my backyard because venues ain't cheap.
Congrats, I got at least 5 years for the whole kids thing. My lady hasn't done too much wheeling with me but she hates the way I drive so she likely will hate wheeling with me

Definetly get a girl that loves the outdoors. You will always have your best friend with you to do everything you love!

  first photo she looks a whole lot like my ex of 4 years, I had to do a double take haha.

I wheel with some guys regularly who are always talking about how they have to pull massive favors to get the chance to go out wheeling and their partner never wants to come; sad stuff...sad stuff indeed. Hope I never end up in a situation like that but who knows what the future holds lol

For sure it a sad thing. You have to be able to enjoy things together. But you also have to get some alone time too. Sometimes I’ll go out and just get lost in the woods for a bit. Maybe she was two timing us :/ your not in Washington are you? Hahaha

For those that have the trail gear low profile, how was install of mounting plate? Struggled for about an hour yesterday and lost my patience. Is there a trick, fit seems super tight?

I’m not getting married until I’m Atleast 25 haha.... out of school, employed, and hopefully some money saved. Probably no kids for a few years after that, make sure everything’s gonna work out.

Thought I’d give my life plan, cause I’m sure you were all curious

Ain't nothing wrong with that. I got plenty of friends who are focusing on themselves for awhile. We have been dating 5 years come May so figured I'd start to look at getting the diamond I have set into a ring lol

I’m coming up on 25, Never did the school thing after high school. I could have, I had a 3.9 GPA and college credit but it wasn’t for me. Went to work and never looked back. There’s so many kids my age nowadays that don’t know how to work hard or don’t want to that I’ve been like a godsend to a lot of the company’s I’ve worked for. I do miss learning sometimes though. I think I might go back to school one day but not for a degree. More of for self fulfillment or whatever it’s called haha. Time flies for sure.

But I bet you had fun. People around here get married suuuper early, cause Utah ya know. Nothing wrong with it, just not for me.
At that point you’re basically married anyway haha. I dont think I’ve ever met someone that I thought I could be around for the rest of forever.

Oh yeah I wouldn't have done it any other way, for sure. I made a ton of mistakes in my 20s (some of them pretty fun but still) and being in a marriage would've made it that much more of a disaster lol. Only problem I foresee with waiting too long is that you start to really get used to having your own time and doing things you're way...at least that's what my dad once told me. I don't regret waiting at all though, I definitely wasn't ready until now.

I’m just about to finish my first year now. I’m not gonna tell you I love it, it’s hard watching my friends go out and move on with their lives and me just idling around, but it should pay off after I’m done, I hope. Sure have had a good time not having very much responsibility in My life though.

And I better add that I know how to work, I’ve had jobs, labor jobs, desk jobs, customer service, farm work, heck, I coulda made good money hunting for outfitters this winter if I wanted to, hopefully up on a rig this summer, so im not one of THOSE kids.

I have some friends that didn’t get married until 33ish or something, being married and having kids have definitely been an adjustment for them, but I don’t think they actually regret it.

I hated living on campus because I couldn't work during the week, I own a lawn care company. So many of my peers have no clue what hard work is and mommy and daddy pay for everything they have and do. I wonder how they will handle the real world and working a real job in the future honestly.

Damn near, I got super lucky though with finding someone who had the same goals and aspirations in life as me, as well as we agree on most social and economic viewpoints. I went through a lot of relationships and super shitty people, each came with a lesson and taught me what I don't want and do want in a relationship lol.
