Well, this happened today, in the middle of another project. Was easy and painless. Sure glad I got all new bushings not too long ago. :frusty:

If you are going to school for the right reasons (and it sounds like you are) then you won’t ever regret your decision. It’s the kids that just go to blow mom and dads money and party and then get a shit degree that end up not using it.

Bed rails are 57 1/4+" inside-to-inside (give or take some bowing). I generally build my racks to 57 3/16" to pull the bed sides in just slightly when the rack is installed.

Not sure I follow the length bit. What "bump out"?

Actually the dog is better and I can prove it. Just do this little test. Lock your dog and your wife in a shed. Come back two hours latter and see which one is happy to see you.

I went to Eastern, right down the street from you and while I don't regret it or anything I'd much rather have gone right to work in retrospect. The job I have now I didn't need my degree for and the job I want ill be going back to school for anyway. :/

As for the get a dog comment, I'll be doing that soon. I love dogs but haven't been in a position where I could afford to have one until recently.

I have the tube bumper, it was pretty easy, mounts up to the stock bumper location. I didn't have a mounting plate to deal with tho

It’s hard knowing what you want to do with your life right out of high school. So much stuff changes. I don’t know if you are still in the area or not but you should check out the breeder where I got my pup from. $500 for a paper Australian Shepherd and she is one of the smartest and cutest dogs I’ve ever known. I could probably go get one for you and hold onto it for a few weeks if you wanted haha.

What kind of transmission fluid are y’all running? When I did my initial A340F swap I just bought the cheapest SuperTech stuff at WalMart to run to flush out all the crap in the transmission for a couple months. Thinking about running synthetic stuff.

didnt have a huge issue but it took some convincing, make sure it goes on as square as possible, I did have issues getting the actual bumper on because the hook on the front bent the frame, is it possible the frame is bent? Have you ever had to recover from the front before?

edit: I remember it actually was the mounting plate that I had issues with, but only because my frame was bent out a bit, I heated it red hot with an oxy/map torch and beat it in

OK, the curve on the bed rails at the tailgate is 54 3/4- (again, this probably varies slightly given bed flex); then, there's a metal tab that the tailgate closes against. 53-" inside-to-inside.

I've been running Valvoline Maxlife Synthetic ATF. I've been happy with it so far and it's one of the cheaper full synthetic ATF's.

I like Castrol TransMax, priced well, good quality, and it is compatible with our transmissions.

X2 if you don't want to run toyota's. It's been working fine for me.
