I'm digging the tip-in of 1.04. I sure wish we could get this thing to shift as smooth as my '17 4Runner, but the tune is night and day over stock so I'm pretty hapoy overall. It seems to hesitate just a tad coming out of corners now with the new tip-in, but overall it seems worth it to have the much smoother driving experience.

You just wait til 250 miles on it. Whole new ball game. My truck is almost 5.5k lbs and flies as if it weighed 3k

I like the sensitive throttle on 1.03; reminds me of my old Tundra. What other ways is 1.04 supposed to be different?

Wait til you have a couple hundred miles on it. I didn’t like the 1.04 as much at first, now I have power and excellent (19-20) mileage. Wouldn’t go back now

I'll try it out. Do you run the 91 tune?

Hell yes. Might switch to the 87 after a few tanks to see the difference. About $6-$8 difference per fill up

Cool. I've only ran the 1.03 91 tune; I just can't give away the performance after the truck was such a dog on the stock tune. Also, I have noticed better performance and MPG using top tier fuels like Shell and Chevron. Thanks for the info.

    Give 1.04 a chance. I’m lifted, and have 400lbs

I'll try it out this week; probably tomorrow now that I know it's out!

Anyone know a bed rack that's compatible with a bed cover, specifically RetraxPro MX

You might be on the wrong thread, this is about OVTune's tune for the tacos

This - similar to what I felt on 1.03 the tune really seems to settle in around 250-300 miles.

I was in your boat - and I tried the 87 tune for awhile on 1.03 and it is miles beyond anything stock without question. But I just feel like the engine (at least my engine) likes premium (tuned or not) and runs smoother and quieter. The added power is bonus w/ the tune! It hurts more at the pump but its worth it to me

Wow, nice mpg for 75 mph for 50 miles. Never got that on stock tune. Not wind aided either. Loving 1.04.

It's not as exciting as all the above BUT I just got 19.5 MPGs for 17 miles of commuting traffic that normally nets me about 16 mpgs w/ all the stop and go!

    1.04. Kbro2s. ICONS.
1.04 is definitely a MPG gainer. My normal commute is significantly better!

I promised vids and review for 1.03 and didn’t get to it.

I got it for this one.

Got 25mpg on a terrible stop start never went above 30mph commute this morning over 22miles. The commute made me scream but the mpg's are awesome :D
Turning the music up and not being able to hear the engine "screaming" at 29mph in 3rd made it perfectly fine, just a little annoying.
