Good to know, I did know it was normal for the taco's to do that, I just didn't know why. So thanks for the details on that. I'm going to replace them sometime in the next year anyways. I just don't want the squeaking constantly it's embarrassing. I was at a cemetary yesterday and it was really making me uncomfortable to be squeaking out the whole place while doing 5 mph.

Let's talk about the squeak though if anyone knows more about this. Not only is it the taco leafs that squeak, but most aftermarket ones for the taco do too! (at least from reports on here) so why is that? I never have heard or seen this in my other vehicles with leafs.

I’ve had good luck with my dakars just make sure to upgrade both bushings to poly. All pro makes a great leaf set too

I've seen like 100 comments on people with those ones squeaking and needing constant maintenance to stop it. I am guessing it might be the bushings that are a bigger problem then, or it could be people aren't putting any grease down between them on the installation?

I'm not trying to be a negative nancy here and am super happy with my truck, this is a small annoyance....I just am a curious guy and have been wondering about this subject.

I’ve really only noticed them squeaking if they get super dirty from off-roading. A quick pressure wash and spray with lube. I really like the wd brand dry lube with ptfe I think its great. And because its dry it doesn’t attract dirt like grease. Pretty sure the new ones have slider pads between every leaf. Too @mach1man001 yours came with those right?

Makes sense, and to be fair to the taco springs, I live on a dirt road and my truck is covered in dirt every single day...at least in this season. So I am sure there is a lot of dirt on mine, and that is probably part of the problem.

Sounds like I can have trouble free aftermarket ones though with just a little bit of effort! Thanks for taking the time to explain some of this to me.

Morning all. Woke up to a mystery leak in the LF that I'm hoping is just brake fluid, and people having written in the mud on the truck. Happy Tuesday!

Anyone have experience with "Bullet Liner" for their truck bed? I have always went with Line-x, but there is a bullet liner in Holden that looks pretty promising. While researching, it seems like the inventor of line-x sold the company and started bullet using a better formula - as an upside, bullet liners have the UV coating included and is slightly cheaper than a base Line-X coating.

    Line-X Standard: $550
    Bullet Liner: $525

Still slightly leaning towards line-x because its what I know, but would love to hear some first hand accounts.

Assholes. They think it's hilarious and don't understand how much it scratches the clear coat.

Yup. I mean I'm not the most anal about the exterior condition of my vehicle, but nowhere on my truck does it say "touch me". Next purchase is gonna be a sticker that says "NO TOUCHY" or something slightly more vulgar... but after calipers and whatever else I need after this weekend's shenanigans.

Does Bullet have a lifetime warranty and almost 1000 nationwide installer that you can go to have the touch ups done?

The GMC is the first truck I've had Line-X'd and I am severely impressed. I have razor sharp carbide runners on my sled and they didn't even leave a mark. That is no exaggeration, I literally tried to find where the sled runners dragged on the Line-x and could not. They take off all the bed side lights and all the nuts and bolts so it looks like factory. I would be hard pressed to go elsewhere for a $25 savings.

My new snowmobile trailer, which is gloss black, you can still make out, "I wish my girlfriend was this dirty" written on the side. I can't be too mad, it was a girl I know that wrote it.
