I don't think electrical wires are the best solution for tree support straps but what do I know?

 

Helmet, goggles, Jersey, pants, gloves, boots, socks, knee/shin and elbow pads.

Those running Fumoto Valves, is this "lever clip" worth getting?

 

I have the fumoto on two vehicles. Never got the clip. I guess it doesn't hurt for peace of mind. On the Tacoma the valve was tucked up under my skid plate.

 

when I saw it was plastic I took a pass when ordering for my Gen3. Look for the single wire hose clamp at Lowes or HD - had that on my first one (Gen2) and will use the same once I get off my lazy butt and get to the hardware store.

 

I've had a Fumoto on my truck for the last 6 years without the clip. I think it would be impossible for the lever to move on its own or by hitting it.

A) the lever moves down, not up
B) you have to push the lever to the side before it can rotate

 

Also, especially if you have skids, I would get the one with the nipple. Attach a short piece of hose to it, and tuck it up under the skid. I can drain right into my waste oil container without a pan, and spill zero drops...

... until I take off the stupid oil filter on the 3.4l.

Best part about the 2nd gen is the oil filter on top. Place a plastic bottle underneath the filter a no mess oil change in 15mins or less. Longest part of the oil change is waiting for the oil to drain.
I always make such a mess with changing the oil in the sequoia. Freaking hate changing the oil on that thing.

F103SX. I do have the clip on mine. I'll agree that it probably isn't needed.

 

Those 2nd gens must suck if the best part is the oil filter location.


I am a bit envious of how easy that looks. I use to change my oil filter through the wheel well, and then I welded coil bucket gussets right in the way... It's such a pain.

You're suppose to change the oil and filter

 

It's an either, you can change the oil or the filter but never ever both, causes a disturbance with the flux capacitor and who knows where you will end up.

There is a guy on ebay that makes custom cables you give him a color choice, length, and lug post size he then makes it. I had mine made by him but still haven't installed them. I can look for info if you like
