There is a guy on ebay that makes custom cables you give him a color choice, length, and lug post size he then makes it. I had mine made by him but still haven't installed them. I can look for info if you like

Yep, have full armor since almost day 1 to play on trails here. Pretty sure RCI has upgrade skids to v2 long ago but mine serve their purpose and I am way too cheap to upgrade.

Armor is armor. If it gets dented hammer it out and add bracing. You definitely want the 103n I don't leave hose attached permanently, I just keep a short piece with my oil change suppplies and slip it on whenever I go to change the oil. You will love the valve especially on the Tacoma.

    What hasn't been modified?
I’m running the same one as @mountainmonkey is and he was telling me the one without the nipple still has a straight flow and it’s tucked up as high as possible so if you dent the skid or get somthing stuck in the hole it’s less likely to get hurt

The 103n is still at least 1" 1 1/2" recessed into the skids. I think if you hit something hard enough to flex the skid that much you are going to have bigger problems on your hands.

    Precisely!

I'm still confused how you did that, you skid has a oil drain hole, correct?

Maybe the skids on the 2nd gen are closer to the oil pan. :notsure:

There's lots of room between my pelfreybilt ifs skid and the fumoto nipple even now that the skid is pretty bashed and dented up.
There is a hole in the skid just big enough for my hand that is for changing the oil.
I'm guessing it had to be a "perfect storm" scenario where I came down hard enough on a rock that was pointy enough to protrude through the hole. Penetration and deflection must've combined to cause the hit on the fumoto. Stop giggling.
No idea when, where, or how it happened. All I know is that the nipple is scratched up (stop giggling again) and that the oil pan is slightly dented.
