The trans fluid reservoir is quite a bit larger.

Good to know. I have atleast 1 QT of new WS fluid, might pick up one more incase I need it for when I swap over the rad. I know WS fluid gets a bad rep in here but I don’t plan on switching yet.

I figured as much, but you know how misinformation spreads lol. Judging by my 10,000 change blackstone analysis, the oil held up pretty damn good. Also my work truck has same trans, fluid has never been changed in 351,000 miles

When I did the IPT valve body, I asked the owner (forget his name now) what ATF to upgrade to.

He told me that he’s the first to upgrade anything, but OEM is the best for our transmissions. So, that’s what I put back in.

He also told me to put an extra quart in when I filled it back up. Especially since we do a lot of off camber stuff. Says there’s a lot of room in there before you have to worry about foaming.

I did and I spoke to the same guy that @Roostfactor did they said they should be making a Tacoma specific radiator by the end of the year. I suggest that if anyone else wants one specifically for the Tacoma to call them and inquire

I’m assuming that you cannot buy directly from CSF though?

I’d rather have the FJ / T4R radiator than a Tacoma specific one. Bigger.

Not sure. Even if you can't it's still good to call them and let them know so they can keep track of the demand!

It's more than twice the thickness so even at the same height and length it's still double the size. I'd rather have one the correct size so I don't have to bend the lines and also not have to worry about the RAD hitting the RAD support while it's flexing.

Oh, I ordered the FJ rad today. With the FJ shroud and coolant reservoir, it already is bolt in and larger.

That’s how I see it anyway.

Is that a problem? Hitting the support while flexing? Didn’t consider this.
