Are most people running the 6112 at 5/6 notch to match a 2” AAL / 5160 fear lift? Thx

Have you heard from these guys on availability? Are the 6112's something they carry in stock?

 

I ordered from them at the beginning of February. They told me in March that Bilstein would have them in late-May to early-June. I opted to just have them send me 2nd Gen 6112s since they had them in stock and I was tired of waiting. We'll see how they work out.

 

2nd Gen is what I am looking for! I Will call them tomorrow for sure! Thanks!

 

Of course you ordered in February, they are probably back ordered now like everyone else. Still worth a shot.

 

I talked to Sean at rogue off-road and he said most likely not until June— so I opted out of my 6112/5160 w/ AAL and UCA’s and just got the Icon Stage 2. No UCA but something to grow into. Sean basically made fun of me and others who order a UCA with a “lower end” shock like the 6112. I didn’t feel like defending my original purchase and am impatient so the stage 2 it is.

 

Really? That's enlightening. I guess I'll just wait on headstrong list. They seem to have proven good service.

 

Really....No UCA for a lower end shock? I guess...I mean if your not getting the caster you need you kinda need them. But what do I know.

 

I talked to Sean as well last week about the same topic and he seemed very knowledgeable and recommended the Icon stage ll to me as well. I’m still on the fence but leaning towards Bilsteins. I love the Icons but believe Bilsteins will do everything I need them to do. I’m not going to be ripping through the mountains at a high rate of speed. I think 5100’s up front and 5160’s outback with OME coils and Dakar’s will be just fine for cruising logging roads during hunting season. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your Icons!!!

2nd gen 6112's will not align (caster) at the tallest setting. Ask me how I know.
