I totally agree with you! Our lady comes twice a day and even with that our cats give us the cold shoulder when we get back. Haha

Yeah we do 2x a day too. The same lady takes care of a neighbors cats when she travels for work. Crazy thing is she’s gone sometime for 4-6 weeks times $30 a day!!!! Ouch!!!

    Thanks. Appreciate it.

Thanks. We have thought about that but my wife is liery about giving a key to our house to a stranger.. my dad has helped in the past but with Abigail's habits (peeing outside the box/sometimes in other areas of the house, throwing up sometimes usually after pooping, medicine, only eating wet food/sometimes she will eat the same flavor for days and other times she will eat it in the morning but not want it in the evening) we didn't want to ask/burden him.

Thanks. My dad would do it but like I said above this quote.. she's a handful.

My wife is the same way so we have a complete second set of locks for our house. This way no one has a permanent key to the house. We also let the neighbors know we will be away and that if they see a moving truck in the driveway to do something. Lol
Best of luck to you and Abigail.

    Another vote for cat sitter.

We had an awesome friend who cat-sat for us in Yosemite. We’d come home and they’d have new toys.

We’d get text message photos of them playing.
Always worth it for the cats, and my peace of mind, for them to stay home.

Yesterday Olivia wanted snuggles no matter the cost. Squeezed in between me and the arm of the chair...

I dropped Abigail off this morning at the Animal Care Center & Pet Resort. My wife kept messaging me as I was heading up there. Of course since I was driving I didn't check the messages. She knew I was dropping her off at 0800. She was like "is this what it's like to drop your child off at daycare/school?" lol We don't have kids (doubt we will ever) so Abigail is like a kid to her.

Abigail was quiet the way up and also in the lobby. I said bye to her and put my finger by the carrier crate door and she rubbed her nose against my finger/hand.

The staff there is so nice. I arrived right when they opened at 0800, the staff greeted me and wrote down all the information/things needed for Abigail during her stay. I feel like she's in good hands as long as she eats/takes her meds I'll be happy

That's smart to have a second set of locks. We definitely aren't that close to our neighbors to let them know we will be out of town for a week. Maybe the one but the other side they are renting and have only lived there for about a year or so. We rarely see them. Just a quick hi and bye lol

That's nice you have that option. I've had a few friends offer to cat/house sit while we are away if the boarding doesn't work out. We will be out of the country but can get FB Messenger, Hangouts and emails.

Today has sucked. Came home from work this morning and went to bed. Woke up to find Musha has passed. He had been acting a little odd the past few days, but I wasn't expecting this.

So sorrry to hear about your loss. Having been through it recently I can honestly say I know how you’re feeling. Hang in there and keep in mind that having him in you’re life for however many years is a happier thought than not having him there now physically

That does suck; really sorry for your loss. Unfortunately cats are really good at hiding their illnesses, usually until it's too late. By the time my cat showed any symptoms of his liver cancer last spring it was too late to do anything but pain management.

So sorry to hear of your loss, one day you will be reunited with Musha and he will be his happy/healthy furball self again. Reading your post brought back memories of Buddy passing and it's like losing a family member, remember all the great time you and Musha shared together.

Thank you all, Musha was 13. I think he thought he was part dog at times. Going to feel odd not having him to greet me at the door.

    Sorry to hear Sammy :(

It was weird coming home this evening to Abigail not being here.. She's at kitty daycare (sounds better than boarding lol) until tomorrow afternoon.
