I have an 18 wsm and haven’t used it ever since I found my 26 kettle for $65 on Craigslist

I saw 4 bars on each side of the triangle and knew right away that it was a 26”. I couldn’t sleep that night. I called the guy and said he would hold it for me. But my heart was racing until the next afternoon when I finally picked her up:eek:

I don't know what I like more, 2 briskets fit on there or that you only paid $65 for it. I'm going to go with both :D You done good, really good! And the food you post on here that comes off it is pretty amazing also

Subscribing to the Thermoworks email is a good idea, or bad idea. Have 3 meat probes with the Cyber Q but don't always want to plug it in especially for grilling, where I don't need the fan anyhow. My Maverick is at least 8 years old and have it wired to the dog crate for remote monitoring inside temps in the summer. So last week ordered the Smoke when they had it on sale (open box) for $76 and it came today. Knowing they always include a small package of Jelly Belly beans doesn't hurt.

Left over ribs from this weekend for dinner tonight. Foiled in some apple juice for half an hour and just took them out to let the skin tighten up some. Cabot seriously sharp cheddar cheese, cut up bacon and crab meat in the mushrooms. Same cheese and bacon but with little smokies in the Anaheim poppers.

    I got the 22" WSM - looks like a lot of smoker...I'm used to the ECB-S1R1 smoker/droid...

I've read you can get a ton of hours out of a 22" - now I know why - the capacity is 2x an 18"... I don't feel so bad now. The controls thing will be next.

I'm excited to learn how to run it but Dang - I've only got so much stomach to hold all it can make...the capacity is 2x an 18"...

A friend of mine has the 22”.

You smoke my 14.5” in it and still have room to cook a full packer... They’re a beast!

I use my mini wsm more than my 22.5. it's hard to justify lighting it unless I am cooking a lot.

THanks man. I try my best to help/contribute.

It was such a bitch cooking two briskets in the WSM. The 26” will fit two decent size packers (about 10 lbs each) and its a lot easier to use in my opinion

I've been rocking the classic kettle for the last year or so with great success but I just saw a Weber Performer pop up in my area for $60. Should I jump on it? What makes a Performer better than my kettle? Thanks guys!

performer will give you the table which is very handy and should have a gas assist.
you also get a charcoal box (which i use as my trash can) haha

    $60 is a great deal!
