When you say "Ben Lomond" I wonder where there are trails...lol. The town of Ben Lomond is off of Hwy 9 in Santa Cruz Hwy.

I was thinking the same thing, but I think the trail they’re talking about* is up by Chico (based on my 5 minutes of googling)

I'd measure the hole from the edge and have a local metal shop cut one. Or @jqueener could break out the bandsaw and go after it.

Looks like both sides are angled. You would want the front flush and square I would think.just easier to install a hitch.so it doesn't bounce around and rattle

If the face is at an angle, then possible cut at final angle. But yes back side would want to be at a 90 to the support side.

Then again, I used a stick welder on them pieces on mine.
FYI... I also have a runner, so design is difrent.

@2BeersPlease When doing them DIY kits, take your hitch slide in piece and make sure the holes are a good match with the pin before welding in.

May or may not had the same problem on mine!

This is for a hitch behind the license plate, so I would think at least one end needs to be 90°.

Relentless? The outer tip points up, angle with the departure angle. On application s where it is under the bumper, this would help prevwnt digging in a bit, I guess.

Here's the backside of Don's, which I was testing for spare clearance, to give you the idea, sorta.

Not familiar with what you have. But the face end should be cut at whatever the final face plate degree of angle it slides in
    usually.

FML!!! Literally one caliper left to bleed and I was done working on my truck that been trying to finish for the last week and a half. Well my dumbass had to snap the passenger off in the caliper. So pissed right now and now have to either get an extractor kit tomorrow or bring the caliper somewhere. :annoyed:
