Super happy with these.. With the MT these make the truck more driveable all around.
Turns it into a snowmobile with 10-15psi..
Glad to have found this thread and these tires.
I did find a nail in one of my tires though, pretty dissapointed about that, going to swap it off with my spare and see how long it holds air, just to narrow down where I picked it up.. IMG_20180424_173716.jpg

Your truck looks awesome! Sorry to hear about the nail. You can probably get the hole plug for free.

I got some scs stealth 6’s 16x8 (3.5 bs, -25 offset) and intend to get some DC extreme country 255x85r16’s which recommend 6”-8” wheel. I should have roughly 8.5” of sidewall so I don’t think curb shots will be an issue, anything else I should be concerned about? I think you’re more likely to pop a bead while aired down with a wider wheel? Input would be much appreciated, thanks.

I wish that I could answer your questions about wheels. I haven't had mine aired down yet. I have mine mounted on what I believe to be 7.5" with 4.5 bs, -12 offset. I had a little rubbing on the mudflap, but nothing else. The DC EC are awesome tires so far though. I have had them out on some trails this past weekend and they performed better than expected.

Yes thats usually the case when you go with a wheel at the wider end of the tire width spectrum.
It takes more mass pushing the sidewall out farther to keep the bead.

Most of my off road trips are for deer season, mainly forest service roads, and the 05 Tundra I used to have I never had the need to air down, but I’d like to take this thing out and get a little crazier so would be nice to have the ability, without having to constantly worry about toasting one of my 200 dollar rims. Do you think I’d be better off going to a slightly wider tire landing me closer to the center of recommended wheel width, or just say whatever and maybe just air down less if needed

    Thank you.

I haven't noticed a difference in power. My gas mileage has taken a small hit, maybe .5 mpg. Overall I am pretty happy with the 32" and will do it again when it is time to replace these tires.

You might want to look at the Falken Wildpeak M/T Tires too (i've heard nothing but good things about them and they seem reasonably priced). Think they weigh 52 lbs in a 255/75/17. They measure a little bit larger at 32.3" and 10.2" wide while the STT PRO is 51 lbs and 31.9" x 10.3". Ill probably look at these when it is time to replace the KO2's.

I have only been wheeling once since adding the DC EC 255/85/16's. We drove 15 mins from the meeting spot on highway to the area we wheeled. No one aired down. I stayed at 37 up front and 35 in rear. Tires did just fine and it wasn't too rough. I do think if i were to crawl in rocks i would air down. A lot of guys seems to run the 8" wheels and air down pretty low though 15-20 psi. Maybe check with @JimboAnz he runs this set up and wheels more than I do. He was really helpful in making my decision for DC EC.

If you wheel you're eventually going to munch a wheel it's just something that happens. If you are worried about your wheels get a set of steelies to wheel with and just have the pretty wheels for the mall. Airing down helps in traction and comfort off road. There is a lot more to it but that's the gest of it.

Installed the new wheels and tires today! for those wondering the 235 fallen at3w s are very comfortable on the highway...really quiet! I have a slight shimmy that I think is due to an unbalanced wheel...(only noticeable at like 65)

Im also experiencing a slight bit of rub with these tires. mostly when in reverse with the wheel cranked hard...you can see it here...nothing that a heat gun or dremel won't fix though....and they look sweet...

Anyone moved up from 265/75/16 to 255/85/16 of the same brand? Is there much of a difference in MPG or power?

My Cooper ST Maxx are about to retire, after nearly 50K miles. I'm tempted to go the 255 route for that extra half inch. The MPG already sucked at the current size.

I went from P265 falken Wildpeaks to 255 st maxx, I lost probably 2-3mpg, but I'm also lifted, bumper/sliders, and maybe 100lb in my bed. With no mods I bet I would have gotten better mags.

Powerloss I've never noticed...It's also an automatic!

    City is 15-17mpg

I didnt go the same brand, but went from a 265 E rated to a 255 E rated. I notice a little pulling a long hill, but general driving i haven't noticed too much of a power loss. I have a MT though and have read that the automatics seem to struggle a little more. I knew they were a bigger tire and heavier so it was expected. I have no need to even think about regearing if that is what you were worried about. My commute is all hills and no highway so don't even calculate mileage. It sucks, but i only drive 30 miles round trip daily. If mileage is the concern stay small unless you need the tire. If you want the extra 1/2 inch and can take a little less power and mpg go for it! The skinny have been awesome in all conditions so far.
