SOOO a maintenance issue, and perhaps Im the only dummy who had not done this.. Was on my way to AoAA yesterday morning...stopped for gas...pulled back on the interstate...bout 5 miles down the road dash lights up, truck goes to crawl mode...ckeck engine, maint lite and trac off all on....pull off the road b4 I get run over, thinking must not have tightened the damn gas cap 1 click....open it, close to 1 click still same conditions...limp back home..inspect the rubber seal, looks ok..short version cleaned the metal sealing surface on filler with scotch pad, lubed the rubber seal with some WD 40 (for now)... finally had to shut off battery system to clear the @#$^ dash crap....been fine since.....so if ur truck is a couple years old (mine is a 15) you might want to do some PM ..

We tried several times. In the fine print of most discount codes you will find Optima batteries are excluded. Finding the right code would have taken forever, so I just purchased the dang thing.

Careful wih the LED strips. I did that and they shit the bed on me a few months later. Too much water and debris, with no real way to protect them

Thanks for the heads up. I've had one from the same company under my hood for about 3years now and it has held up fine. They are cheap, so if they go out in a year or two I won't be too upset

Same, my hood lights are going strong as well. Just wanted to give ya a heads up. I got tired of constantly replacing them. Been looking at a way to mount some led pods down there. Best solution I could think of.

Well here's the pods I used for the rock lights. They seem to be built well and are super bright. I just used the led strips to fill the void between front and back.

Sound deadening the doors (did the cab a few years back) soooo the cab was surprisingly deadened from the OEM vs the couple of 1st Gens that I've done.... but then I started doing the doors and saw this pitiful attempt at sound deadening the flat metal of the door (the lone, 4"x6" white patch)

No man, always in the middle or right lane, if I’m in the left lane I’m doing 80 and somethin’s up!

In LA I drive in the right lane because everyone is so fucking stupid that the left lane is clogged and the right lane is smooth sailing.

o_O this is what happens when you get rid of drivers ed in schools ... or people just don't give a fuck.
