So what are the next steps here? Do we create a "group buy" list based on the order people expressed interest starting from the beginning, get a pulse on who's actually committing, and go from there?

There's been a few of these threads, so I don't know if I put my hand in on this one, but I'm still down lol

I want to wait and see what the Cali Raised one is like, for the 2nd-gen. I'd much rather give a company that supports the forum my business than somewhere over in China. But if it ends up not getting done or whatever, then I would be down for the chinese knock-off, as long as it isn't garbage. I also like the RAD Ind grille but I don't want to cut up my stocker, I'd rather just pop it out and have it as a spare then pop the pro insert in.

The Cali-raised is a Chinese knockoff, they just charge you a lot more for the same thing. This was the same thing they did for the 3rd gen Pro grille.

Damn, looks like the Chinese ones are already out there, just selling for almost what the dealership charges! That is probably why I didn't even notice it when browsing eBay, I was looking for $140 price range, I didn't even click the expensive ones lol

I have been thinking, if the Chinese are watching this thread, they are going to know that they can get $300 for these things.

So true, but to be honest at $309 I almost want to just get OEM for a little more at that point, unless the Chinese knockoff is truly equally as well made...:sawzall: rumors have it, Caliraisedled is pricing at around 250ish? close to 3rd gen grille price.

I called the local dealership and said, hey I found this for $370, can you match it? He said yes so quickly (like with out even hesitating), it was obvious I should have said a lower price. I bought it though, and would again unless the knock-offs are 1/2 the price.

The entire purpose of a “knockoff” product is for it to be dramatically cheaper than an OEM product. Cali raised better be significantly cheaper or I’m going Chinese
