The mounts started to separate 9 years, a bead was laid down on each side as a fix. Lasted that long until very recently.

Tom, make sure you drill a tiny hole at the end of the cracks , that stops it from continuning from cracking.

@Happysmiley did some work to beef up that stuff on his build that had pics before photobucket gave people the big middle finger: @Jon64l knows what you're talking about...

I'm guessing I should probably do that as well? Found this gem over the weekend. Thinking on beveling the bottom, welding, grinding, and plating. For the side I'm not too sure, maybe drill, bevel and weld? It's the notch on the chassis I made to clear 3.0s.

Edit: The photo doesn't do justice but the side has a crack running all the way to the top of the chassis.

    ouch. That sucks.

Looks like you've tried repairing it before too but the welder wasn't on hot enough by the looks of it.

Plate the crap out of it.

I have some plates that will fix that cracking issue :) We've been installing them on all 05+ tacomas that we install our kits on. I also have the same kind of plating for the rear LCA mount but it only gussets one side. I cant find any pics of the rear mount for some reasongusset.jpg
