I think there's a 1st gen tranny on ebay for about $375 - $400. Never had one rebuilt...if you did, it would probably come w/a warranty though.

yup its awesome a little pricier but very well worth it if you plan on keeping the truck for a while

I've seen Chevy and Ford trucks need a trans rebuild at 50k miles and don't even start with Dodge, lol. 250k miles on a trans is damn good, automatic trans are a wear item, the clutch plates in the trans wear just from normal operation.

Sorry but I call shenanigans on the plugs. I can believe the Sumitomo wireset but no plug (that I know of except maybe iridium) will last 200k miles.

Had the tranny on my expedition rebuilt after about 130,000. And then a year later it left me stranded in first gear and ended up driving 20 miles @15 mph to my girlfriends house. Got it looked at and decided to the "cash for clunker" route. That's how I got my taco!!

went to my old boss, we found an issue that could be causeing all the problems. my T-case is sending the code that the truck is in L4 when it isnt so that it sends a malfunction code to the computer and sends it into fail safe mode

only 75 bucks and 2 plugs
