Talk to him. From a production efficiency perspective and the design intent for better departure, I can see why they would be mass produced like this. Perhaps for behind the plate, he can have one cut flush for you.

That tube is supposed to be welded between the mounts and sit down behind that lower lip. The receiver is welded to the tube. Doesn't really work that way because the design doesn't allow the tube to sit flat inside the bottom of the bumper.

I pm'd two months ago. No response. I can cut it. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something.

Tube needs to but up to the cross bar and flush to the face, you know that. Don't look like much room to weld in place, let alone put a pin in after installed.

You can as long as there's room afterwards to put the pin in. And the hitch will still fit.

what will those provide? the truck has camper and bed platform and an additional 200/250 lbs for camping gear when we go out.

More than what you'd need. These are for 3" of lift with I believe 400-600lbs of weight.

Let's put it this way, these are replacing the All Pro Expos that are flat/inverted on my truck now.

Reach out to Scott at Deaver, he was awesome answering all the questions I had: 714-542-3703
