There are constantly jobs being posted in all districts right now. School Spring seems to be the easiest to keep track of all new school postings.

She would like to stay SouthEast for now. She is in New Bedford and is applying to a job in Yarmouth now. I live in Easton so any of the surrounding towns would be awesome

What grade does she teach? She may know some of my friends/family that teach or have taught in "New Beige"

I wont get too much into it, but I know 2 people who just recently left the Yarmouth School Districts because of terrible management and pressure from the higher ups on the performance of classrooms. Granted, when you need a job its easy to overlook the signs during an interview and stick around to make it work for the money, but they lasted one school year and could not get out of there quick enough.

Yeah there are some in NB that feel the same way. I would think that this could be an issue anywhere you go

Feeler: anyone interested in doing a matte black vinyl hood and roof diy buy? I'm considering it but will have a bunch of extra material if it's just me. 3 total people would maximize the materials.

$100 each would cover the knifeless tape, install kit and coverage for hood and double cab roof.

Anyone up for it? I have a garage here in ct, or anywhere in new England weekday is fine too. I'm always on the road mid week.

Anyone else doing the Spartan Ultra Beast this weekend in NJ? So pumped for total and complete destruction of my body and likely mind. Heading down Friday so I'm pretty much mentally checked out already. We got an air bnb for the weekend on some lake like 15 minutes from the event. All in all shaping up to be sweet.

Teaching positions are rough. I see some of the best teachers let go because they were the last in, so first out in a budget cut situation. I have friends that have been through three districts in three years for that reason.

I'll refrain from voicing my opinion of the MTA (other than that they work against the best interests of the kids and I would love to see the whole organization go away.)

Ultra is the 30 mile one right? Any idea on how long you are thinking it will take you?

I haven't done one and don't plan on it but I have done a few of the 10-12 milers and they are a fun race. The ultra would take some serious training so good for you man, enjoy it!

Shit, that was what I was worried about. I didn't run it in the frame rail, just threaded it next to the frame. It comes out through a hole in the bed. But it's big wire, probably fully tinned marine grade, I bet it's $150 in wire alone. It's done now so if it rots out I will just put a battery in the bed of the truck and use that.

Yes. Min 30, probably more like 31-33 but we won't know till Friday night. Assuming 31 miles we've got from start (we are at 6:15am) to finish (9pm). So like 15 hours. I'm assuming the elevation is a lot less severe than Killington where I did my first Beast last year ( no death March thank God. Fuck doing that at mile 28) since it's at a ski "mountain" in new Jersey. I'm hoping to maintain a 20 minute mile at worst. So that's like 10hours..

I'm not quite ready for that yet, but I'm running my first sprint up in Rutland, MA on 5/12!
