I know i'm asking for it :crapstorm:, but please be gentle. :deadhorse:

Currently have 17x9 wheels with -12 offset and 4.5 backspace. I tried putting on 285s and the tires where rubbing extreme (even with my 2.5"-3" of lift). Like I couldn't turn the wheel an inch or the tire was rubbing on the wheel well. Went with 265/70/17s and no problems.

My question is, what size/dimensions of rims is everyone running with 285's that have no problems? Obviously most guys CMC and I am down to do that, but I'm afraid even with the CMC the 285's won't fit on my current wheel setup.

I have searched through threads and have found close answers but this seems to be an easier way. You guys are a great resource of knowledge and I thank you in advance for any input!

Youre still probably going to have to trim and do a CMC. Your wheel specs are fine though. 4.5 bs is what I have + CMC + Trimming and I dont rub at all.

I am running Icon stage 2, 17x9 -12 Fuel Rippers, 285/70/17 KO2's with no cutting. I had to reshape the very lower front part of my fender well in a couple of small places with a heat gun but that was all I needed to take care of the minor rubbing I had.

I have Camburg UCA and Bilstein 6100's maxed. I figured I would CMC before even mounting the tires just for good measure.
Sounds like I need to borrow my buddies heat gun and just make a little room. What tool did you use to reshape the fender well?

I just used a big screwdriver handle and then I sprayed some cool water on it as I held it in place with the handle so it wouldn't start to go back to where it was.

SCS Ray 10 17x8.5, 4.3 backspace -10mm offset. 285/70/17 KO2 fit with no rubbing. Only modification was removing mudflaps and trimming a small piece of the fender flare off at the lowest point in the rear of the fender well. I do have aftermarket UCA's to maximize alignment adjustment though.
