kind of getting around to things.. but the Tee that came with the gauge had some sort of flow limiter in it. I thought I could transfer it to a different Tee, but couldnt. Now what to do. Can try to remember to get pics tonight.

Can it see injector duty cycle as well? If not then get the highest MAF g/s. Then we can calculate hp. From there, injector duty cycle.

That is correct. As far as the CAI. Either one of those you’ll be good. If you are looking to upgrade, don’t want to modify anything, have an exposed filter and be in too dusty of an environment the AFE Pro Dry S is the way to go if you ask me.

Right now it's between the AFE CAI and the TRD CAI. But I guess most people go with the AFE?

Is there a particular reason to why? Sorry for the 21 questions.

The old 1st version of the trd intake was good. The 2nd version (made by k&n) can cause lean issues from what I have read. Afe made the first version kf the trd intake and it’s basically the same exact thing, just says afe instead of trd.

Yea, not a fan of K&N. Had their oil filter leak on my motorcycle years ago, never bought a K&N product since. So which AFE CAI do you guys recommend? Looking at their site now and it seems like they offer 3 different kind of CAI: Momentum GT Pro 5R, Momentum GT Pro-Guard 7 and Magnum Force Stage 2 Si Pro 5R.

The trd made by k&n is a pos and runs lean.

The only "trd" worth a shit is the old 1 made by afe

Honestly.....i dont know. Thats just the one everyone pushed when i was the one asking the same questions and ready to buy like you....so i went with it. Id like the urd one but i dont want an exposed filter. The afe is nice youll like it. Just make sure to get the dry filter not the oiled one

I just got a flashback from the thread with the guy who blew his motor for the second time & Toyota refused to warranty it because of the air filter.
That thread had a lot of interesting opinions on air filters & intakes.

Just looking to add a little spice to my truck since I haven't done much to her since I've added the suspension and wheels. She's out of warranty now so I was looking into a CAI.

Seems like everyone likes the AFE so I guess that's the one I am going with. Wasn't there someone selling a clear cover for that CAI?

I've been happy with the urd. Had to make my own mount because of the exchange. I dont mind the exposed filter being in Seattle. Dont see much dust and the heaviest of rain on the freeway hasn't bothered anything. I'd do differently if I was desert racing like murphinator.

Hey David, are you talking about replacing your clutch fan, or adding an aux electric pusher fan?

I do have a fan on my trans cooler. I guess that must help a little as an aux rad fan.
