    I'll admit that I was eating while reading, so kinda skimmed some of it, so missed that part of the OP.

    So with that bolt there, you would have to remove the skid plate to be to remove that bolt correct?

    If it includes a standard drain plug, that is still there right? Or is that not what I am seeing in those two pictures?

    There is no drain plug (it's an option you can add, but like I said, I did not like how low it was).

    I made a drain plug out of the bottom stud. Skid comes off in 20 seconds. I dunno about you, but I use power tools.

    The way the picture looks, looks like a drain plug there, but I now know that there was no drain plug at all on the housing to begin with.

    Small update. Actually drove the truck today (in front wheel drive). But something was off with the brakes. Found a small leak on one of the fittings that was a quick fix but the pedal was too stiff and the brakes weren't performing as expected.

    I sent Tom at SOS a text and he called me withing 5 minutes. Said it was most likely air in the ABS module and to back off the master cylinder adjustment a few turns.
    So for the first time ever this truck had to see a dealer to open the ABS actuators. But after the ABS bleed and a quick adjustment on the MS, good god my truck stops on a dime! Definitely gotta give props to SOS in the customer service department!

    I was gonna ask you how you did the ABS bleed because you didnt say anything about it in your original post. I had read about ABS issues elsewhere during some research I had been doing. Question answered now....guess I shoulda brought it up earlier to help out. How much the dealer rape you for the service?

    I didn’t really get raped. Same dealer I bought my tundra from and they installed the supercharger on the tundra. The tacoma got oogled a bit and they helped me out. My very own local Toyota of Huntington Beach. I’ll leave it at that.

    I'm sure its an ABS issue but i wonder if Currie could build the rear to include the Explorer brake option. Its a non-vented 11" disc with internal parking brake, like the SOS/4runner kit.. It could be a complete bolt in, less new parking brake cables(Lokar universal cable).

    The Currie 9" i got for my Trans Am about 14 years ago, was built as so. Prices sure have changed... we spent about $3000 back in 2004, with shipping to Hawaii. Just priced the same options at $4280, without shipping. :eek:

    Great Stuff will absorb water, I would not recommend using this. They make non absorbent sealants.
