    Looks good.
I've come to realization that painting grill and toyota symbol all black is ok.
But painting the grill black and the symbol to match truck just pops more.

    Thanks!

I bounced around thinking about that also. I had some grey derp that I never used and thought that might work with the badge. If it spelled out Toyota, Tacoma, or was something other than a fist sized badge, I might have done something different. I just wanted to take attention way from the big grille and hide the chrome.

I've seen a few derped cheese grater grilles running around. They all looked great, so that really sealed it for me and the fact that I happened on a cheap spare grille. That allowed me to take my time and not rush it.

Yeah I agree the chrome grills are SOOOOOO ugly. I dipped mine and even did my symbol blue invade I switch back to it. I'm currently using the emblem in pic. Which funny enough is brush steel look but I think it works.

    Yeah. That does work nicely.

The original black chrome insert wasn't too bad, but if they had done a brushed finish or darkened more like the 2018s, I would have left it.

so 90 pages and I admittedly only skimmed through a few....anyone done the bumper chin (valence) thingy :) on a sport? I think mine would look better black but not sure how well it will hold up- I guess I could purchase a black chin piece thingy for $150 but would rather use that money towards a new bumper with a winch at some point down the road

Do it! Super easy and quick to take the covers off and start dipping it. I really like the look after, especially paired with MESO's smoked sidemirror lights.

I've not done mine but have plans too. Others have and looks great and holds up just fine. And for around $20 a crap option. Price is base on dip prices at my local Wal-Mart of about $5 a can

I plan on doing mine and my fender flares. I've seen several others who have done them and they look great. I doubt I'll have any more issues with the derp versus regular paint though I've heard it can stain pretty easily. I did see that dipyourcar has some stuff you can rub on the derp to make it smoother (which I'll probably do).

Post back if you end up doing it!

I've thought about it but haven't done it. I've used it on my WRX bumper before and it held up well even with road debris hitting it. I think it would be fine

Has anyone plastidipped their door handles? I’m wondering if it will interfere with the key fob connectivity.

I was debating on getting one of those or an aftermarket grille. The Stormtrooper would definitely match my theme though :annoyed:
