Hey guys and gals. New to the Tacoma life and the forum. Just recently purchased a 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro but I'm having a hard time finding an OEM tonneau cover for the short bed. Does the TRD Pro not have an available OEM cover? Does it require a different bed top? I'm looking around on the internet, and other tonneau covers just don't look as sturdy as the OEM one available for other 2016 third gen models. Any help or alternative cover suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

    Welcome to TW

From what I understand, if your truck did not come with one, then it is going to be very costly to get an OEM cover from Toyota. Look into aftermarket for a cover. AutoAnything, Tonneau Cover World, etc. If you set on getting an OEM tonneau. Looks like there is some info in this thread. Some buying and selling.

Keep an eye on your local Craigslist. Lots of people buying cabs or prefer the after market tonneaus. Make sure you get all the hardware with the OEM tonneau or it will be useless.

OEM seem to have a lot of problems - 2017 Pro owner here - opted for a Bakflip MX4... Pretty happy with it now that I've taken care of the small leaks that all lay flat flip covers seem to have.

Personally I would just go for diamondback but I don’t have that kind of money with a nice mortgage and kid.

Are Oem tonneau dealer installed or port installed?
