The list was more of an interest list.

@Aw9d being this is my first groupbuy this was all new to me.

I hope i did an alright job. I accept all forms of constructive criticism.

 

The way group buys typically work is this.

Someone reaches out to a vendor (like you did) and requests pricing on group buys. Typically there is a set amount of people needed to get the discount.
Once the number is reached you start sending paypal invoices to the people so they can pay. Or you post your paypal and people will send you money for the product (with their address)
You then contact the vendor and pay him for however many orders people have paid you for.
Vendor gets paid, make the products, then either ships them to the people directly or sometimes they ship the bulk order to the TW contact and that person then ships them out. Depends on how you set it up with the vendor.

I know this is the feeler thread but I think we have more than enough orders to make the group buy happen.

Sounds like a TW discount, and there's nothing wrong with it!

If the vendor/creator is willing to take orders from individuals at a lower price by mentioning TW that a fellow member coordinated...why make a stink? Just email the vendor and place your order at the discounted price.

Am I missing something here?

Got a confirmation email back from him. I replied asking how to proceed with payment/shipping info, haven't heard anything since lol

 

Just be patient, in addition to us he is probably getting other toyota owners asking about that. And alternator orders. And he has a life of his own. He has returned an email to everything ive sent throughout this entire ordeal.

I'm not making a stink. I'm telling him this isn't how a group buy works typically. There has been a quite few people who posted about being confused or reached out and asked me about it. If he wants to do a discount then that's great and I'm glad he reached out to Mike Singer about this. However, it's not how it typically works, people were confused, OP didn't know, and I was telling him how group buys typically work (at least the ones I've been involved in).

I already paid for mine. I was talking to Mike via email and he said just email him your paypal info and what stage you want and he will send you an invoice. If your paypal doesn't have your shipping address then you'll need to let him know.

 

Thanks for the ordering info. I sent an email a few days ago but haven't heard anything since. I'll go ahead and reply with my paypal info in the morning.

I got a reply back from Mike last night. Progress, but no invoice yet

He wanted to know year make and model to verify the harness type. So y'all may want to include all of that info in your initial emails along with your paypal email. Since mine is an Off-Road with the tow package it comes with a 130 amp alternator from the factory so I included that bit of info in my reply as well.

 

I didnt know that, but I told him that info too.

 

He just sent me an invoice and I'm all paid up.
