I'm sitting at work drinking a water and counting the minutes until 5:15 so I can go home and pour a stiff drink. My mint is up so I'm feeling Mint Julep-y tonight. An old fashioned one, in a highball or collins glass.

Wouldn't it be nice if you walked through the door and one was handed to you made just the way you like it?

Sure, but I don't make nearly enough to employ a personal bartender.

We make cowboys with our fresh mint. Almost a whole margarita on the rocks, topped with Sam summer with fresh mint mixed in.

I'm a pretty basic guy; if I make a margarita it's just tequila, cointreau/triple sec, and lime juice in a rocks glass. Maybe 50% of the time I salt the rim.

Had to put her down. Cancer.
And even before then, her idea of a good mixed drink was a mud puddle with grass clippings in it.

Margarita mix is too damn sweet, but the GF likes it. I drink most of my boozes neat or on the rocks with minimal additives.

Thanks. We knew it was coming; she'd had tumors that were getting worse and worse that the vet couldn't operate on, so we mostly were just managing her pain with pills until it got to be 'that time'

Still sucked, though. I bawled like a baby while I was carrying her in.

Sorry to hear that, I am way too attached to my pups and I start to tear up even thinking about that future. I've never owned anything important to me or been with anyone as long as I have had my dogs. Hopefully when you are ready you find another guy to fill that spot.
