Mine are 4300k and should technically be yellow(er)...idk whats up with yours? Maybe try a different orientation of the bulb in the projector?

got mine done today! 20% off coupon saved me a bunch, thanks for the write-up, it helped me out! I ordered some phillips replacement bulbs for the maps and dome that don't work so I guess I didn't save much in the end! :)

I'm not sharing pics of my wiring so as to not trigger any OCD. I did manage to get it all tied up nice and neat enough for me, used double-sided gorilla tape to mount the relays on some flat surfaces and used your location to mount the ballasts! :) BajaDesigns squadron sports should be here today and I can get those mounted up. Just need to figure out what I'm running for high beams now, probably PIAA halogen replacements for the stockers.

NEGATIVE. its actually streaky road salt from a not so nice snow/rain mix we had, they are flawless when my truck is clean, except for a few pinstripes from the trail....

Excellent write up! I may buy these. I was looking at getting the LED bulbs from Amazon. Do you think there is any difference in the pattern or output?

from everything i have seen, heard and read, LEDs are 1 step above poop in out projectors. these HIDs are more pricey but well worth it!

Those tiny little Led bulbs from amazonare a step up? Why do you think its more worth it to go your route? From what I notice it looks like a really clean throw. Is that the major difference?

i never had LEDs so I can't compare but from pics i have seen of LEDs the throw and beam pattern is inconsistent at best. HIDs are built for projectors and allow for factory cut offs and fill the area much better than a halogen. to me worth every penny.

I am curious how long your housings will hold up. I have heard of a few horror stories of HID's melting the inside of the headlight housings. They look good though. Also curious how other drivers feel when you are oncoming...

haven't been flashed once in 10k miles. housings still look great, these are 35w and run cooler than the stock halogens.

So I bought the led bulbs from Amazon, suppose to be the greatest bulbs in the world. If you like just looking 10 feet in front of you n having yellow road lines, grass, road, street signs and cars all look the same then go for it. Needless to say, one night out and they went back. The stock bulbs even projected light farther. I got the xenon depot 4300 Phillips bulbs and I can see now. Others oncoming did flash from time to time but went down half a turn on adjusting screw and solved that problem.

Awesome. THank you for the feedback. I have ran HID's before in older BMW's so I'll probably stick with what I know. And leave the LEDs alone. Thanks again.

Never had HIDs on a vehicle before. Pulled the trigger on this kit 4300 phillips bulbs. Pretty excited. Thanks for the thread!

Any recommendations for matching the color on the high beams to this?
What about fog color matching, I see people recommending yellow for fogs

    Thanks,
    SPS
