Got the truck back from the frame replacement yesterday. Man they replace a lot more than I thought they do! Dealer was very candid with me and told me what their reimbursement is going to be for the frame which is just shy of 11g. Told me if I would of paid out of pocket it would of been closer to 15g. Rides great and feels better than it did before. They cleaned it as well before they gave it back and damn I didn't realize how many pinstripes I had gotten from my 2 trips to Chestnut Mtn. that little rd. definitely will scratch you up, oh well battle scars!

Hahaha I payed a little more than what Toyota is reimbursing the dealer for. It's an 05 SR5. Since it wsa free it's worth it to me.

Yeah for sure it’s worth it for you. I guess I’m wondering at what point do they just start doing buy-backs?

I don't know I think it would be hard since a lot of people would want something comparable to what they have. I have seen a couple guys say Toyota doesn't offer much for buy back like under 10g for trucks that in decent shape on the market would be in the 15g+ range used. The guys I have seen were also ones that weren't happy with getting essentially all new running gear. If you account for the leaf spring recall and then the frame Toyota has replaced pretty much from the chassis down on my truck for free.

Needs to be tightened some do it with it on the ground not jacked up. Put a wrench on the nut and hold the top of the shock shaft with some vise grips or something and tighten that thing up.

Ill probably try to tighten a little more but it has at least the same number of threads showing as the passenger side, shown above, and that confused me. I've torqued on the drivers side pretty good already.
