It was impossible for me in January to find a TRD Sport with both Premium, Tech and in 4x2, Cement color w/ black interior. They all had to be special ordered, so you couldn't negotiate. Here in socal, whatever little they had allocated were 4x4, and anything else had $4-$5k of extra accessories I didn't want, so I didn't want to negotiate only to end up at MSRP. The limited comes with it all standard, so negotiating from MSRP, I was able to get $1,000 below cost, from Oklahoma where there were only 3 in the whole USA at the time, paid $800 to have it shipped. I'm more about creature comforts and luxury than I am about offroading, it's my daily driver.

18’s you can get with black leather in the TRD trims. You could of just added leather. I’d rather do that then change out a bunch of chrome you already paid for

Wish they offered a limited in a longbed. I would be digging the chrome. I settled for a trd sport lb.
I would rather be homeless than chromeless.

It’s really not that much though nor expensive to replace them if you’re set on a Limited.

    Fog bezels - $11 a piece
Side view mirror covers - $80/pair
    Grill - replica pro $130
    Tail lights - $300/pair
Handles - $320 for all four with drivers smart touch entry

Compared to the price of the truck, that’s all chump change and not everyone wants to touch it, but some personalize that way as opposed to say suspension or other stuff that other trim owners do. To each his own, right? You get more with the Limited and for those who despise the chrome, it’s not that much of a big deal nor breaking the bank to make it yours, whatever makes you happy I guess and for some, it’s not looking at chrome.

You can add it, it's really not that much trim pieces...see my post above. It's not like the car is made out of chrome or the interior has any...

For a while I had 3M matte black vinyl. It looked good.
    IMG_1255.jpg IMG_1258.jpg IMG_1269 (1).jpg

It was my first time applying vinyl and I free handed the cuts when applying. I had a couple spots where my cuts weren't so great so I eventually removed it. I may try again. I would definitely recommend removing the handles to apply (I didn't which was the reason for the poor cut lines.)

Along the lines of the other Limited owners, I bought in 2017. I wanted leather and sunroof which made the Limited my only option. I was unaware of the ease and availability of aftermarket leathers until joining this site.

Ok troll. Now you can take all that extra money that you make from being on the internet patrol task force, and use it to remove all the chrome that you paid extra for.

You apparently have a poor understanding of the meaning of the word “troll”.
    Already done.

I was asking a simple question, not trying to be a troll. Besides the leather in older models, the chrome accents, clear tails, bigger wheels what else are you getting with a limited? I understand it probably comes standard with sunroof, heated seats, dual climate, back up sensors and blind spot. Where as in the TRD’s you have to add a package for those items. However, doing so, it’s still cheaper without having all the chrome that people want to remove. I’m just honestly trying to see the extra value. As jayrobot already said “to each his own” which I do agree. He also made a really valid point about being able negotiate a better price off MSRP on a limited vs a TRD with a bunch of added accessories. While that makes complete sense, I’m sure not everyone who bought a limited seen it that way.

    Nobody called you a troll.

And I agree with you on most of your last post. Given the options now available, if I were to buy a 2018, I certainly would not opt for a Limited.

Hi Larry, I actually sized up a Sport with tech, premium and it came out exactly the same (I think $1,000 more if not mistaken), but dealers locally assumed that if you wanted and got both packages, you'd want it fully loaded with extra crap. I appreciate you understanding me on this...

I've been always curious how this process works...like slap it on with some extra all around then heat it with a heat gun or blow dryer? Then trim away the edges? I bet the cap on the drivers handle with the key hole was a pain?
