Heck it looked fine before. This shot really makes me happy. Thanks. The money I'm saving I can get a TRD skid plate to finish off my front end. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.

I went to install my grill tonight, the one I got sent doesn't match the one in the ad I bought, when I pulled off the 17 or older garnish piece it has 4 holes, not the two holes/two clips like the 18 garnish I need to install in its place, so I'm at a standstill until I hear back from the seller about why what I got doesn't match the picture of what I thought I was buying. Do you think I can run without a grill for a few days till it gets sorted out? I don't want to put the factory one back in, I damaged a couple clips pulling it off once, I imagine a second uninstall would do even more damage.

I put a Toyota OEM garnish on an Amazon knock-off grille, here is a post I made about it.

I rolled the dice with some online dealerships, and the common reply was, "we have tried to get you the TRD grill for you but Toyota will not give up those grills unless your truck came with one and by your vin they know yours did not so they have cancelled our order. We are sorry but we will refund you today
    thank you
    "

Anyone notice that the garnish rattles in the grill?

    Not much stock left.
When I replaced my grill, I cut the washers (I can’t think of the proper name off the top of my head)
When I put my new grill and garnish on, I used two 1/4” push nuts I got from Ace to hold my garnish on. It has about an 1/8” of slop, but I can’t hear it rattle while I’m driving down the road. I’m sure that it does though.

So I have the same problem. I just mounted the sensor to the grill. Works fine. No codes. Figured what did I have to lose. And it works....

I just a pair of flat nose pliers to hold the washer in place, while I pushed in firmly on the garnish. Definitely helped to secure it more.

I got my China grille installed on my 18 today. I’m happy to report that after some initial driving everything seems to work fine!

For you guys that have loose Garnish pieces - get the OEM push nuts that are linked above. I used a deep socket to push them onto the garnish studs. They hold tight and no rattle.
