thanks for all the offers with help with my 5100s guys. I showed my dad the thread and he decided that he would pay for the install because he wants it to be done somewhere that i can get a receipt for it. and its hard to argue with him since he payed for 10k/15k of my truck. I got the shocks on and it looks great! the ride feels really nice too im really happy with it.

you guys no how big of tires i can go with 2.5 up front with very little/no trimming?

would still like to do a mod day to get ideas on the future of my "build" im thinking BHLM, Debadged, toolbox next maybe varence then powder coat rims black! wooh im excited

Thats awesome. Glad everything was taken care of for you. You will be able to fit 265/75/16 with no problem or 285/75/16 with alittle trimming and rubbing.

 

Understandable about the install.

x2 on what Ryan said for tire sizes but to add 285's will rub the uca unless you go aftermarket, get new rims, or the easiest solution some spacers.

I like your enthusiasm with the mods.

 

call up 4wheelparts at the airport and see how much it would be just for the front install. I know all the mechanics in there still and worked with some of them. youll be in great hands.

 

Chris i already got the install done at big chief tire
cost like 400ish but i also got the 85,000 mile service stuff done and oil change.

I wont have enough $ for tires (maybe my birthday present?!? (august))
next i think i want to paint my wheels... check out what surf taco did to his wheels in this thread.

i love that but im pretty sure id have to get it powdercoated somewhere ( that would be difficult for me..) what if i did what he did but got the lugnuts/toyota emblem paintmatched silver mica to the rest of the truck. i think that would look clean and people would just assume they were special addition rims. ( maybe do a differant color completely like blue, and match all the emblems on the truck )

Lol everyone on here does that its no big deal.
I painted my wheels. I also did the center cap and lugnuts but took the center cap off bc i like how it looks with out it. Its really easy to do. We did the other jasons last mod day and his turned out great. I used that hammered finish from rustoleum and they look awesome. And it holds up great. I need to retouch a couple spots on mine but i have had them done for about a year now.

Hey guys Whats up? I have a question. Some of yall might know that place off of the southside Connector a little north of atlantic blvd, that has all the sand dunes? Is that area Illegal to wheel out there, cuz i went out there today and was looking around...But i didn't see any no trespassing signs....

 

Jason and i went out there before. That sand is super soft. That one big hill of dirt by the road is pretty fun to play around on.

 

Yeah I've been there a couple times and no problems with the law. Chris lives over there so he may be able to give you a more definite answer.
