CB Radio MEET Install - MAY?2010 - Houston

i plan to run my coax thru the firewall into the cab, where all the other electrical cables run from the fuze box into the cab. that's my plan, we'll see what happens.

 

I failed to follow the 7 P's. Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. even with the drop mount my 3 ft antenna still wacks the pipes running along the concrete beams in my parking garage. so, i ordered my THIRD antenna, a 2 ft. on Scott's advise, i'lll tune both the 2ft and 3ft antennas, the latter being used for off-road use, or long trips.

 

im sure mine will hit i only have like 3 inchs over my cab when im in the parking garage its just going to have to get beat up

Check out this guys mount Bakerla. This is what I plan on doing for mine. I know its on a 4runner but the same prinicle applies, Maybe you could keep you 3ft antenna & just get it lower yet. I bet if you went back to Home Depot you could find something & make it work.

I have a tuner, I'm getting some stuff out to make an 3ft extension cable to tune radios.
I have to solder both connectors on the extension cable for the jumper cable.
