2018 Nor Cal Wheeling, Camping and BS

I haven’t seen much up in that immediate area for wheeling honestly... but haven’t explored it inside out fully either so maybe I missed a spot or two. There seems to be a lot of private property up there too... especially along finning mill rd. If you drive a bit farther up forest hill road it gets more and more scarce. I prefer that kind of stuff for shooting and bullshitting but I know some folks don’t like going too far from town.

You can get them locally from BAMF, but in a week
I think you will be waiting at least 4 months.

 

I like that shit too and usually would be down to scope out the land but would prefer to have another rig around.

if you can wait, possibilities are plentiful, if you cant.... just don't hit anything or consider them battle scars and show them off like scars

 

you might get lucky and find a vendor like BAMF or relentless with a set on the self but not likely.
There is a few shops in SAC but i have no idea on the wait times call and find out.
Hot metal Fab, Fernando has had work done there. Theirs a guy on Craigslist in the south area cant remember there name but dose alot of rock crawlers. There is WFO in auburn.

I had mine done at R B Fabrication in Rancho Cordova. Not cheap, but good work.

 

That sucks. No point in having a z71 if he isn't going to use it for some off-roading fun. Lol. If I head up that way anytime soon I'll keep you in mind. Even a quick morning up there would be fun. Do some fishing/shooting and wheeling if time permits.

We are leaving tomorrow. Most of my friends are leaving early tomorrow morning, but I need to finish payroll before I leave. So, I am hoping to leave between 10 and 11. Are coming tomorrow or on Saturday?

Anyone know if the trails up in the Arnold / Bear Valley are opened yet? I've been trying to reach out to the rangers station to no avail. Trying to hit up some trails there next weekend.
