I’m going to either use nutserts and put hex bolts in...idk there’s so many things I could do. I like the idea of it looking like rivets...kinda like a fighter jet? If that makes sense. There’s a dude in Tucson that did it, it looks sick

Yeah, but black. If anyone wants to trade my chrome mirrors for they’re black ones..I’d be down. I hate chrome and don’t know why it’s taken 2 years to get rid of it.

Alright. Time for my stupid question of the night. I have found a built up A340 tranny. Made for a built 1j that pushed 700 hp before the tranny rebuild. The 30-41LS. It has the bell housing for a 1JZ and a bell housing for a 5VZ. Is there ANY way in hell this transmission would work. I’m not 4x4 so I don’t have to worry bout a transfer case.

Damn, you're gonna have to get fancy and check out connector pinouts and such. The stock A340 for a tacoma is a 30-40LE

Also @Tyler Lacasse may know, his 2J trans had a weird output coupler on it

I was hoping for the snowballs chance in hell that someone knew of such a thing. Seeing as they’re in the same family of transmissions I would think that maybe it’s a possibility.

The A340 series transmission was used on about a million different cars, including the Toyota Supra and the Isuzu Trooper. Although the transmission itself remains the same, the tail section, nose come, output shaft, driveshaft flange, electrical, etc is completely different. So yes you can use it, but not without having the correct tail section, output shaft, or any of the aforementioned items.
