    Good morning everyone!
Rough nite for the Caps last nite. They out-played them for 2 periods, but ya gotta do it for all 3.
A little bummed about it, but hey, it's time to go camping & fishing in a new place to explore. So I'm excited.
About to pack the truck up. With all this rain, I'm kinda wishing I had a rtt now. Let's just hope the river and campsite aren't too muddy.
Won't be able to share pics til I get back Sunday night because there ain't no cell service out there...just bear and banjo music.

Yeah, me too. Look at the "hockey trash talk" thread from last night. Right before the third period started I mentioned how well the goalies were playing...5 minutes later 4 goals had been scored:facepalm:

Going away party for my oldest daughter tonight (she's moving to Miami), then o-dark-thirty tomorrow the trailer w/ the ATV gets hooked up and we head to Taskers Gap / Peters Mill Run for a day of beating up the ATV then a night of camping. Still not sure where the overnight camping will be - not sure I want to be in the camp grounds around Taskers Gap with all their rules. Still taking suggesting for that!

Also, what a crap-tastic game that was last night. I've finally exercised my emotional connection to the local teams (Skins/Caps/Nats) so that I don't get caught up in wins and losses, but damn if I didn't get sucked in again. Damned flightless oil sponges.

Oh yeah, so for rant of the day.
    :annoyed:

I have a 5 gal (20L) jerry can mounted to the swingout on the back of my Tacoma. Really a reserve more than anything else, but the fuel's been sitting in it for a couple months and I decided to use it to refill my ATV prior to tomorrow's trip. It's got one of those CARB compliant nozzles that require you push them and maintain pressure in order to open the pathway for the fuel. This is so that it won't spill fuel and damage the environment.

Well, holding a full 5 gallon jerry can up at a 45d angle while simultaneously pushing a little CARB compliant release valve means putting too much pressure on the nozzle and having it break free and pour gas all over your ATV and garage. SO GLAD we have these environmental protections in place. I'm really all for protecting the environment but stuff like this is just stupid. I never spilled fuel before these stupid devices came out - now it's a regular occurrence.

    A thing or two...
Planning on trying to finish fitting the front fibreglass. Shit weather this week, so I haven't worked in it like I had hoped. Yesterday afternoon was great, but I didn't want to do shit after work.

Also, going to the MD Friends of the NRA banquet/fundraiser on Saturday. Maybe fishing the Occoquan River late Saturday night.

I bought 15 bags of mulch, two bags of organic claybreaker soil conditioner, six emerald green arborvitae trees, and a pinky winky hydrangea (yes, that's really the name), so I will be a digging/planting/mulching mo-fo this weekend! I still need to get three tomato plants, an orange pepper plant, green bean plant, and a couple of red onions, plus the soil, peat moss and compost for those.

Wonder if I can sell this to you guys as a 'mod' day? :help:
