New guy from Charleston, WV

I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Bruce and I live just north of Charleston, WV. I just ordered a new '09 Tacoma TRD access cab 4x4. I am really looking forward to the new truck. The only thing I'm not getting that I wanted was the upgraded stereo. Unfortunately it would have been at least a month before the dealer could have gotten me that package in the color that I wanted.

I had an 05 TRD access cab but I traded it in on a Honda Element last December. The Element is great for hauling my bikes (bicycles) around to races and letting me keep them inside during the day to reduce the risk of theft. It was also nice getting 23 mpg. However, I really miss my Tacoma.

So, long story short I'm losing my butt on trade however I am getting what I really want. Oh yeah, hauling my ZX14 (Ninja 1400) will be much easier with the Tacoma. The Element would haul it but I definitely noticed it on hills.

Welcome to TW and glad to see another Mountaineer here. What color is your new truck? I really like the new pyrite mica but it wasn't a choice for me in June when I bought mine.

Thanks everyone. The new tacoma is going to be magnetic gray metallic. I wanted my first one in gray but they didn't make it so I went with white. Once I saw that they finally came out with it I had to go for it.

 

that magnetic gray is an awesome color man!!! before i got my 04...i had a silver 06 prerunner.....and i loved that color, but if they would have had the magnetic gray then, thats what i would have got!!

 

Okay, hopefully today will be the day. If all goes well I'll be in the new taco this evening.

 

Thanks, it's amazing how this day is dragging. To make matters worse I'm going out of town for work this weekend (Friday - Sunday) so the truck will be setting at the house. Then on Monday my wife will be taking it to get the windows tinted so I won't get to drive it then either. So, other than driving it home from the dealership this evening I won't be in it again until Tuesday.

 

Damn i would have withdraws lol.
