    MTS mud&sand mode WORKS! What an idiot I am. 900lbs in the bed, tires inflated to 43lbs and I decide to wheel around in the sand. Of course I got stuck and almost tipped over. Threw it into 4LO, chose the mode and crawled right out! Phew! I had no backup either. You can see my tracks...Kirk Out

    Took and early morning drive on Hi Mountain Road, San Luis Obispo County, CA. At 7:00AM, I started at Lake Lopez, with a side trip to Hi Mountain Campground, the lookout and ended up in Pozo at 8:45AM.
    The campground had about 5 campers and I only met one other vehicle on the road. There were 11 small water crossings from start to finish. On the way home, I stopped at Santa Margarita Lake to visit some friends who were camped.

    2WD is fine for the whole trip, but I used 4HI. It felt better on the climbing, loose switchbacks.
