Boy.....that's a tough one. There's not much right around base and the security forces folks don't take too kindly to people parking right off the runways. That new Cabela's on the north end right off I-94 would probably be your best bet and wouldn't draw any attention. Still close enough to get in on all the action too.

Not much flying for me lately but did 6.5 in our 182 a couple days ago... she's so purty. Her name is Hannah by the way :)

That is a pretty 182. The weather here this weekend looks absolutely beautiful. I'm hoping they can get my plane finished with the avionics work today.

    So how's it going?

I'm back from training and I just hit 100 hours in the 737. It went by like a blur. So far SWA has been awesome and I couldn't more excited about my job!

Super pretty... plus it has a bunch of gear on it to make it an airborne observation plane... She was based at ADS at the Atlantic there for about 3 years and Monarch was doing the Mx - surprised you've never seen it before :)

My Yaesu in the truck gets the milair freq's. Fun to take a trip out to Dugway PG sometimes and listen to the range clearance calls and following fun. Seen Apaches, F-35s from Hill, a few hawgs... Never get many good pictures though. I'll see if I can drag one of my friends with an SLR out sometime.

I probably have seen it, but all newer 182s share the same paint scheme so I wouldn’t recognize it

What model Yaesu? I’ve got the FTM-100DR on my wish list

I flew a 182 once, coming from a 150 and 172... impressive! Got off my pasture strip quickly, and landed full flaps even shorter. Didn't get the constant speed prop and manifold pressure though. Need more flights!! Oh, and set me back in the seat on takeoff, yessss!!!

Unfortunately my plane wasn’t released from the avionics shop today, so I won’t get to fly it over this beautiful weekend we’re about to have. Instead I’ll probably be cramming myself into an ERJ145.

No, I fly a Cessna but it wasn't released from the shop today so I'm going to have to ride on one of those to get to Dallas tomorrow
